I am a senior woman and had no trouble applying this product with a small roller and china bristle brushes on 110 feet of fence. I used the cedar color which is nice but knots do stand out since it is a medium shade. I liked the rustic look. The stain goes on nicely and seemed to dry quickly on my new dry pressure treated soft wood. I have had several compliments .

So far, the stain is holding up but i am sure i will have to re-stain in two years time. the Redwood cedar is new and does have some mill type waxy feel to it, some parts of the stain did not stain well but i knew this going in, i just wanted it protected. i will power wash the deck this fall and will re-stain. the color is right on ( Cedar ) and it goes on great with a staining pad. Don't use too much, it will cover easily. Something to note, the stain does take some time to dry, and when it is dry you do feel some oiliness when you walk on the deck but after a few days you no longer feel that.

We purchased this product to stain our newly built fence after receiving a quote for $2000. The stain was so easy to use. One coat and beautiful! A year later the fence looks just as good. We purchased more this year for our deck. We used another stain several years ago on it and it began flaking immediately. The deck turned out equally as good! Very happy with this product!

After doing quite a bit of research, I finally settled on Ready Seal for our deck and railings. I've tried several acrylic products in the past, and they inevitably peel, despite proper preparation and application. After getting frustrated over the years, I decided to go back to an oil based product. I was pleasantly surprised by this stain. It goes on VERY easy, (I rolled the deck and brushed the railings), and it has excellent coverage. The color is rich, but it definitely needed a second coat to get the true color. The stain has only been on for about 2-3 weeks, and as expected the water is simply sitting on the surface of our 20 year old deck when it rains. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far, so good! It looks great and was super easy to apply!

Hands down the best for a natural looking (non-painted) cedar fence. Goes on super easy with a sprayer. I used a basic Wagner and did 3 coats on 300 linear feet of fencing, front and back, in about an hour and a half.
The product looks amazing and since it actually soaks into the wood you don't get any peeling or cracking. Still looks amazing almost 2 years later. I don't anticipate having to re-stain for a while.

My cedar fence is now sixteen years old, and have been told it looks as good as a new fence... We never got stingy with the application of a good oil stain and over the years, this has proven to save us the cost of new fencing. This is the only oil stain I've been able to find that is comparable to what I've used through the years. The cost at first was a shocker, but then I had to stand back and consider what I was buying. All products made with petroleum are expensive. This stain is still the cost of a good paint... and if it's applied until the wood can absorb no more, it will last. The color is awesome, and have received nothing but complements from everyone who sees the finished job!

Easy to use. Proof will be to see how it weathers after couple of years.

This product was used on a cedar fence and was very easy to apply. After staining one side of my fence, the product was absorbed into the wood so well that the knot holes were very pronounced and darker on the opposite side. This indicated to me that the stain really penetrates the wood as advertised. Great product, it requires two coats but was easy to apply with a deck pump-up sprayer. I found that I needed utilize a deck sprayer because the nozzles of most sprayers are too small.
