The terra cotta rain barrel is a nice addition to the side of my house. The barrel itself looks good and I like that all the water that gets harvested is fully contained within the diverter/ barrel collection system and not exposed to open air. Water flow from the hose is surprisingly good, almost like pressurized water, and runs for a long time. The barrel is lightweight when empty but extremely heavy when full - follow instructions carefully when building the base and also when making critical cuts to the downspout and connector tubing. I pretty much did exactly what the instructions said and everything worked perfectly for me first time. The built-in planter at the top only has one small drain hole and I noticed outside rain water is pooling up there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LBwithTheBrownThumb Only a week and we've collected 100 gallons of water
We bought 3 of them and we love them. They are nice to look at and easy to assemble. We used a saw to cut the rain gutters but that's the only tool we needed to put these together.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alstack Excellent Addition to Garden
Easy to install. Very large planter area with good drainage. Having the diverter included made this rain barrel an excellent value. We were looking for an attractive rain barrel that would not detract from our garden. We already use a number of 50 gallon plastic barrels for catching the roof run off. They are extremely functional but not much in the way of landscape enhancing. This barrel fills the bill, along with the hassle free diverter. I recommend this attractive, functional addition to any garden setting.

Installed easily against porch column. Opted to change water delivery to top of barrel. Used circle-hole saw to cut 4" hole. 4" strainer was installed to filter downspout effluent. Look forward to many years of water conservation.

the plastic looked very cheap and not nice enough to put on my patio with my other pots.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BMSANDERS Nice rain barrel
This item is made of very heavy duty material and it looks quite nice. The only issue I have with it is that you must use the diverter on it. There is no hole at the top to allow rain to get in. If I had known that when I ordered it I probably would have gotten something else, but that's my fault for not checking it out better. Get yourself a good 3/4" drill bit, this thing is made from very solid plastic. Overall it looks very nice and I believe it will do the job it is intended for and last a very long time in the weather.

This product was a perfect fit where I wanted to install it. Fit nicely right beside the down spout. Simple installation. Performs well as expected. Would of preferred a facet to turn water on and off vs. just a spout with a lever on it. When elevated water drains well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jojo Looks good, set up not great
The barrel looks good, is light to carry. The set up process isn't great. The issue is the drain diverter. It doesn't fit well. Also, not that you have to drill a hole in the barrel to insert the drain tube. You'll need a special drill bit for that.
