You are wasting your time with this worthless trap. Mine was hanging for 2 weeks ,there were about 40 yellow jackets flying around and never caught one. Look the other reviews too.

Rated 2.3 out of 5 by 100 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not work on my Yellow Jackets I had high hopes when I hung this trap about 4 feet from a large nest. Left if up for 5 days and caught 2 (TWO) yellow jackets. It might work in the long run, but with a large nest in the front yard they had to be gone - FAST. I Resorted to spraying (after dark) and now 99% of the wasps are dead. Don't waste your time with this trap thing. I'm heading back to Home Depot to see if I can return it. August 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Complete waste of money I've had this up for two weeks, within 8-12 feet of areas under my deck where I've had to knock down 5 nests this summer. Wasps still come within 3 feet of it and still choose to go into my siding. Other than one tiny spider on the outside, this trap has collected nothing. Nothing. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Git it Time! I was disappointed at first. I only caught one yellow-jacket after several days. But about two weeks later I checked again and there were over 50 or so in there. You just have to give the buggers time to find it or to trust it...not sure. In any case, I love these traps. They work great for me and always have. I just bought two more (online since I couldn't find them in the store). My tree guy broke the one I had just bought a couple of months ago. Bummer. Anyway, give them time and they will work like a charm. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Seems to be Working I was hesitant to purchase based on the comments I read but after two stings I had to take a chance. I bought two traps and set them up at the far edge of my back yard, about 60 feet apart. Each one about 20 feet from an observed underground nest entrance. I live in suburban Boston. Followed directions carefully. Both traps are collecting "customers" in both the lower and upper sections. Maybe a couple of dozen in two days. I think the traps work, especially if you take the time to read the instructions before starting the assembly. July 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work in my Vegas yard Have had it up for24 hours... still empty. Wasps are everywhere but not in the trap. July 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can't imagine WHY this doesn't work Have tried this for two years with several refills. Paper and mud dauber wasps everywhere. Not one wasp in either year. Set it up just like instructions. Maybe Kansas wasps are smarter than others. I might try again next year to catch the queen bees earlier in the season. Hopefully they aren't as smart. July 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 50/50 I don't really know what kind of wasps i have but I found that this trap works better for me if I use some kind of sugary soda as bait.also seems to be best if hung near the nest.it's never going to eliminate the wasp problem but has become some what entertaining to watch lol.catches tons of flies also July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Revenge is ours Was stung by 7 hornets. Put trap out the next day and caught 10. One day later I have 14. They seem attracted to the bottom more so than the top trap. Today I purchased 3 more baits. June 24, 2016
