Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good drill but not hammer drill Drill has a good price comparatively and nice features. The construction is durable and holds up nicely with minimal care. Runs great for drilling thru wood, used dozens of times to drill many 1/2 inch holes for deck construction, saved my cordless drills from an early grave. But, I bought this drill specifically because it was a hammer drill and needed to drill concrete for setting anchors. This drill didn't make it to hru one box of 1/4 inch tap cons and a hand full of 1/2 inch bolts (this was not in one day either it took place over a year).. So if you need a good 1/2 inch drill it's a good choice but if a hammer drill is what you need find something else. I'm sending mine in for repair, I'll report on how that goes in the meantime looking for a new hammer drill. September 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super This is a beast of a drill. Rips into concrete like a hot knife through butter. April 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by so-so the drill itself is ok. i bought this drill for a home project where we were adding a cedar fence on top of a concrete retaining wall. i'm not 100% sure if it was the drill or the bits, but it seemed to take forever to drill into the concrete. the drill itself seems to be well-made and hasn't failed me, i'm just not overly impressed with it's performance. Rated 1 out of 5 by Ridgid 2-Speed Hammerdrill I would not recommend this hammerdrill for drilling into concrete ie. pre-drilling holes for tapcon screws. I had every 3/16 tapcon bit melt that I bought, and I bought ALOT. I then went and rented a Bosch 7/8 SDS rotary hammer and never used a second bit. The tool as a drill works great but is extremely poor as a hammerdrill. I would recommend spending the extra hundred dollars and buying the Bosch model, I guarantee you will not regret the Bosch. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hammer drill I bought this drill and have nothing bad at all to say about it. Using a good bit, this was able to power its way through concrete with ease. By the way, throw away the concrete bit that comes with the screws and spend the extra 5 bucks on a good bit. April 25, 2011
