Answer:
CFM??? you need to be able to run 100+ PSI.
i would highly recommend not use this on less than a 5 gal compressor able to push out about 5scfm @ 90PSI if youre planning on doing any sort of shingles etc...

Answer:
I use a Campbell Hausfield framing nailer and a RIgid roofing nailer. Both operate just fine using an 8 gallon compressor at 4CFM.

80 psi minimum. Most portable compressors fire up to 120 psi and when they drop below 80 psi they recharge again.

Answer:
Hi Ray, the manual does not list the cfm. However the manual list the recommended PSI for operation, which is 70-120 PSI. You should not use an air compressor which exceeds 200 PSI.
I see where air compressors list SCFM at 90PSI, which will very depending on the models.

Answer:
For sheathing, you're better off using a framing nailer with ring shank nails. Most code recommends 2" or better for sheathing nails.

The specs list the nail gauge at 15 and the nail angle at 0. It appears that most nailers use a nail angle of 15. ??????

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Won't stand up to moderate use. The Rigid nailer is lightweight. But it uses plastic in vulnerable places. The housing holding the nails broke off in my hand, and rolled off the roof. That's after less than 25 days of use. The plastic attachment piece is about 3/8" square plastic. it sheared right off as I was nailing. Buy the Dewalt they used metal instead. September 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Works flawlessly for me. I can't say that I'll be opening up a roofing business anytime soon, but I will using it any time I'm up on a roof. September 13, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by its ok for diy all of my cordless tools are made by ridgid so when it came time to by a new coil nailer I decided to buy a ridgid gun. my first impressions of the gun were it's lightweight and affordable. after using it for the first time my impression of it is that it's a slow gun to fire and it seems like it's cheaply made. i have a feeling it won't stand up to every day use on a construction site. it's a good gun if you're going to put on your own roof, but I wouldn't recommend it to a professional that uses it everyday unless you have a backup. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 3rd replacemt gun has not lasted through 100 squares I purchased one of these guns and it went out within 3 weeks, i returned to store and they exchaged for a new one. This one lasted a few months but went out again, i couldnt find anyone in our area that works on them, so i had to take to tool world in home depot for repair. They had the gun for 3 months, and then called stating they were unable to fix it. They gave me a refurb, lasted a week. I then talked with the manager and they gave me a new one. Less than a month later it is now out! I would not recomend this gun to anyone. Buy a bostich gun, cheap and easy to have repaired, and very dependable. They will not exchange the gun anymore, junk. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great for casual user Light weight and capable tool. Rubber retainer and spring for nail clog came apart after a few hours of use. Replaced spring from local hardware store and used copper wire for retainer. Good nailer for occasional user but not for a commercial user. You can sign up for Ridgid Lifetime warranty for free on their website. Comes with case, safety glasses and tools. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Nailer Purchased this unit to replace existing older unit. Worked like a charm, installed about 25 squares of shingles and never missed a beat. i like others am concerned about the plastic coil cover breaking, would have given 5 stars if not for this. April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great working gun but didnt last long Bought this gun to replace my old ridge runner and it performed excellent jammed only twice on me the entire time ive used it i bought mine on August 19 and the plastic nail housing broke in late October and the head blew out on December 19 it made it to the last job worked excellent up until then i put between 10 and 20 square a day down with this gun 5 days a week its put down a lot of shingle but even still i dont think it should of died already but is has a lifetime warranty which is a pain but will be taken care of bottom line it's a good gun just make sure you have a back up for in-between service December 30, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 15-Gauge Roofing Coil Nailer It kicks like a 45 caliber, so says son. But, is doing it's job. March 29, 2016
