Answer:
Nick,
The handle has slots in the end that exhaust the air in different directions. This is a small gun and it doesn't exhaust a lot of air like the larger ones. I've never even noticed the exhaust air.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 50 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great tool and made the job easy very impressed with this pin nailer, I have only done one job with it but it went well. It is light, has a flexible nozzle, rubber grip, powered through some oak, very impressed. March 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good, but warranty registration a pain Performs pretty much as expected. It should be noted that the fine print on the box warns that pins over 1 3/16" may not end up flush in harder woods. I have used 1 1/4" pins in maple and most of the time they will sink. If you remove the rubber tip the odds improve, but you can get a small indentation. This is at 100psi. Time will tell on durability, but I have to also mention that the Ridgid warranty registration is a pain. You can try to register on-line, but I then received an email telling me I had to send in a hardcopy of the receipt by certified mail and then they would take up to 8 weeks to review it. Bosch has a much simpler process that works. February 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rigid 23 gauge nail gun $50 on the homedepot deal of the day great price for a rigid 23 gauge pin nailer works well so far im very satisfied March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! this pin nailer was exactly what I needed, It has taken me years to realize this benefit. I had always used regular nails or staples. With this, I can hardly see the pin. They come in various sizes but of course don't have the strength or diameter of a nail. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to conceal nail heads without having to use a putty type of cover. March 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Awesome nail gun and great value for the money. Highly recommend it!!!! March 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for cabinet trim Used the pin nailer to put trim up on cabinets. It worked great and you really can't see where the nail went through the trim. The tool is very light which is great if you have a lot of stuff to nail at once. February 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Little gun that could Another great product by Ridgid. Works and handles comfortably. Petfect for small wood projects. February 23, 2016
