Customer Reviews

1-3/8 in. x 23-Gauge Headless Pinner is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pinner This is my first pin nailer and first Ridgid tool. It produced excellent results on my job making it faster to complete and eliminated extra finishing. The plastic tip did not mar the trim and the pins were set to a good depth without any adjustments. I wish I had bought one sooner. I didn't need the belt hook so I removed it. It took a while to get comfortable with the two stage trigger but after some use it worked fine. There is storage on the pinner for an extra plastic tip and the hex wrench but I'm not sure how secure it will be. It also came with oil and 1000 one inch pins which were perfect for my first job. It doesn't come with a case which is inconvenient otherwise I recommend this tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ridgid 23 ga. Pin Nailer I own both a 16 ga &18 ga air nailer and last year my wife bought me this Ridgid 23 guage headless pinner for Christmas. This is an excellent addtion to my other nailers. For small mouldings it's just perfect! It's easy to handle with its swivel air nipple, fits great in your hand and comes with an easy and most useful belt clip, I sure wish my other nailers had that feature. These 23 guage headless pins really hold on and if you are painting the trim you won't have to putty the holes first, as they will just fill with paint, usually. Ridgid's warranty is second to none and they have proven themselves reliable for just about any application whether your a weekend do-it yourselfer or a full-time carpenter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I needed this pinner to do some upholstry work at home. It was buy or rent but at this price and the favorable reviews I'd read, I decided on the former. I like Ridgid tools because generally they are very reliable and I like their guarantee although I have never had cause to test it....yet. Anyway this pinner works very well, its' silent enough with a muffled exhaust and the depth of drive is easily adjustable. I also like the swiveling attachment. What I like less is the 2 trigger acuator but you get used to it. In the end it's a welcome safety feature. It's sturdiness suggests that it can certainly be used for more than upholstry although that's all I've used it for so far. Overall this pinner does a good job and I recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great little nailer This nailer is excellent for use in fine detail finishing. Headless nails go in with ease and leave just a speck in the wood. When you step back you can't even see the nail hole. Make sure you put the brads in the nailer the right way. Should be arrows painted on the stick of brads. Something I never learned till later. Wish it came in a case instead of a cardboard box, but overall, a handy tool.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good pinner Bought this pinner in addition to my other fasteners. Works great for pinning outside base corners that would normally split with larger gauges. The only down side to this pinner was that I had trouble setting the nail depth. The nails always stuck out a little even when the pressure was maxed and the adjustment on the gun was maxed also. I removed the no-mar tip and use it without. Just have to be carefully not to press to hard! I would recommend it for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LesHandyman Simply lovely tool you must have it. I was doing upgrade to my walking closets throught the house and found this pinner very helpful. It does an excellent finishing job. Eliminate adding wood filler and sanding before the final finish. My next project is crown molding and I can imagine using this tool will be a pleasure too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pin Nailer I bought this nailer to finish a cabinet door that had to resized. Worked flawlessly..... compliments my Ridgid 18 ga nailer. Nailer did not come with a case but no big deal. Bought an aluminum Plano case & foam fitted to accomodate both nailers, nails, oil, & keys. Good to go. Will look at Ridgid's palm nailer next.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was already a RIDGID tool owner. I am once again totally satisfied with the quality of the pin nailer. Little things like the side hook to rest the gun on your tool belt make a big difference. The only disppointing part was the fact that it didn't come with it's own carrying case.
