Customer Reviews

1-3/8 in. x 23-Gauge Headless Pinner is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Go To Gun Small light weight. After owning this for a year no misfires or jams. This nailer is great for holding banding or strips during glue up. Wish it had a case. I have 4 nailers in my humble shop and this one gets the most use by far. Just hold the gun firmly against the wood and it sinks the pins well. If you don't do this the pins will not sink correctly. You don't have to press hard. Just a good firm press and it won't let you down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool for what it is designed for I did some research before settling down to this Pin Nailer. It seemed to have the features I wanted and was priced right. I ordered via the web and was happy with the service. I received it in about a week. I had to order a package of pins also but they came from a different place (took 2 weeks for them to arrive and they were a bit pricey.) After reading the included manual, I put it to work and was very pleased. The noise level was low, the double trigger action worked well, the nails sank into the wood... just below the surface and with almost an invisible hole. Easy to use if one follows the instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 23 gage pinner Easy to load , and like the safety trigger. Light weight and comfortable tool and the ball joint air fitting reduces air hose struggle. The only negative is the tool does not have a case to store it in along with the oil and spare pins. A good tool and warrantee. Lou.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good things come in small packages Nice small pin nailer with more than ample power. I drove 1" pins into 3/4" maple with no problems. Just hold the nailer firmly against the wood when you pull the trigger and and the pin will countersink perfectly. This is probably the best pin nailer on the market. The PC only drives pins to 1" and it is lower in price than the Bostitch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good, but warranty registration a pain Performs pretty much as expected. It should be noted that the fine print on the box warns that pins over 1 3/16" may not end up flush in harder woods. I have used 1 1/4" pins in maple and most of the time they will sink. If you remove the rubber tip the odds improve, but you can get a small indentation. This is at 100psi. Time will tell on durability, but I have to also mention that the Ridgid warranty registration is a pain. You can try to register on-line, but I then received an email telling me I had to send in a hardcopy of the receipt by certified mail and then they would take up to 8 weeks to review it. Bosch has a much simpler process that works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy I have only used this thing on one project so far but I am really happy with it. I built a cabinet/shelf deal out of MDF. I didn't have long enough clamps to glue the parts together so I used the pin nailer to hold the joints while the glue dried. It worked like a champ. Sunk every nail properly and left tiny holes. I have a larger nailer that I initially tried to use, but it split the wood. I wish they had this one in the store. Good price and, so far, a quality tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool My old pin nailer often failed to completely set the pin nails. Found this tool and have been very impressed with it. So far, no misfires, and every pin nail is perfectly set. Well worth the price. Some reviewers did not like the safety trigger, but it is is easy to get used to and soon becomes second nature while using the tool. If you do lots of trim work with small mouldings, ownership of this tool is a must.
