CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A real workhorse Very happy with this purchase. Pumped out my basement thru a 150' hose and 8' head. Highly recommended. April 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Little Pump! This pump has been an outstanding addition to my home. Build quality is solid, if no frills. It primes quickly and can handle 10' of lift with no issues at all. Power draw is perfectly reasonable at 2.5 amps. I bought it to deal with seasonal flooding in my basement and workshop, which it handles nicely. I've run it for hours submerged in icewater with no issues at all, and once lent it to a neighbor who ran it for three days continuously, again with no problems. The screen over the intake is quite fine, so the pump will foul on small floating debris. I fabricated a little pre-filter for it out of an old window screen which keeps it running smoothly. It will draft down to roughly 0.25", which makes this one of the shallowest suction pumps I've encountered. This shallow draft capability is tremendously helpful for household water emergencies. I have used it a few times for dewatering tasks with my volunteer fire department, it's certainly no fire pump but it comes in handy because nothing the department has can draft nearly this shallow. I also toss it in the brook that flows through my back yard and use it to provide water to my immersion wort chiller when I am making beer. It works great! Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone in the market for a ~1000gph submersible utility pump. February 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome little pump - works as described We had the curtain drain at our house clog so we had water seeping into the basement which created puddles of about 1/2" before flowing to other parts of the basement. We bought this pump since it said it would pump down to 1/8" of depth. It definitely works as advertized. We had it hooked up to a heavy duty timer to turn on and off every 15 minutes and it ran continuously that way for three days straight. It would take almost all the standing water off the floor. I have a friend who brought over a Flotech pump, and it would not draw a suction when the Rigid pump did. It says not to run it dry, but we figured we would take a gamble if we were ever to get any sleep and we had no issues. This little pump was a lifesaver - highly recommended March 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used as Pool Draining Pump I am a pool service technician, and bought this pump to use as an easy to set-up, small pump for fountains and small spas, ponds, ect,. I love this pump, and have started using it to drain full size pools, especially those on properties that have hard to find or clogged sewer access pipes. So far I have drained multiple ponds, and over thirteen full sized (20,000 gal) pools. The pump flows at about the speed of a garden hose, and will drain a full sized pool in about 2 days or so. The 21' cord is long enough to be used in a deep pool, and the top hose connector is very handy. I just dropped the pump in the deep-end and went on my way. I would come back 2 days later and the pool would be drained and the pump sucking air. No Problem. My full sized pump was being used when I first tried this one for a pool, and it has worked so well, I have been using it for all pool drains with no problem whatsoever. Great product. I would buy again. As a matter of fact, I think I will buy another just as a spare. But if they ever shorten the cord, I would not be able to use it for pools; the 21' power cord was the selling point for me. May 11, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sump pump review Used only once to drain small two feet of waterfall pond in yard. December 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Haven't used this one, but it may replace one exactly like it We inherited this pump when we bought our house and it's been working great to get water out of the basement. We're just not exactly sure how old it is so we bought another just so we're not stuck some day (would be our luck) and it actually seems unlikely I will need to use it. The current pump is working like a champ. I wish someone would make a small pump that had a float (our pipe is only about 6 inches) so I didn't have to watch this one but that's not a ding on this pump. For how it's designed, it works great. I will probably use it to clean our ponds. May 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 As advertised Worked well for the use I had for it...... draining a 32K swimming pool. Knew it would take some time, so was able to continue with other projects while this took a day or so. May 31, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by drained 6 person Jacuzzi in an about an hour This product worked great with my regular garden hose. November 5, 2014
