Rated 5 out of 5Â by shortcat1 Really good & long-lasting filter
I've owned my Ridgid wet/dry vac for well over ten years now and I'm only on my second filter.
Now, keep in mind, my wet/dry vac isn't going continuously. It's been used to do a variety of clean-up jobs - everywhere from sawdust to dust to grit & grime and it's been very effective at all tasks.
As "agoodhandyman from Chicago" says, the filter cleans easily.I cleaned out my first one several times and it continued to do just as effective a job. I don't know if this is the best thing for my wet/dry vac but it sure makes for a long-lasting filter.
I'm very happy with both the wet/dry vac and the filter. The team are a well-worth-it purchase. But, for the sake of this review, I highly recommend this filter.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Colt Product fit the shop vac and is designed to last
This was a replacement filter. Easy to install and provides great dust and debris filtering for my RIdgid shop vac. This filter is designed to last for years of use and is easy to clean. My first filter of this type lasted over 12 years for medium/heavy workshop and outdoor use.

Rigid has proven to be a quality product in my service. Maintaining it is second to keeping it that way. It seems obvious to me that a filter is a no-brainer. The fun part is when you forget to replace it after you let your neighbor use it to remove water with the filter still in place. After looking around I found that all filters are not the same (even if you do make it fit).

Rated 5 out of 5Â by jwhazel Works fine with older vacs
I noticed a couple of reviews stating this didn't work with older rigid vacs. True it's not the same as the old filters that were open ended on both sides. If your vac has the black plastic plate and white nut, you have to ditch the black plastic plate and install the nut so the pointed end is facing up towards you. The opposite chamfered end of the nut mates perfectly to the built in rubber cover and makes a perfect seal. If that sounds confusing, rest assured the single picture instruction thats printed on the box makes it easy to install. There's no retrofitting or modification involved.
