I have one of these blades and it works very well. I just want to know if this is solely for cross cutting or is it good for both ripping and cross cutting? I have used it for both in the past but mainly on pine and spruce but am about to use it on white ash to do rip re-sawing of 5.5 Inch wide material. Is it good for this type of cutting which requires cutting half way through then flipping and cutting the other half to get mirror image grain along the length.
Note this is the 90 tooth version of the same blade.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID.
The RIDGID 10” 60 tooth R1060C blade is a finish blade, best suited for cross cutting. We recommend you look into a good rip blade, if significant amounts of ripping wood of various types like white ash, is needing to be done.
Regards,
RIDGID

It looks like they are only available online. Please check with your local Home Depot to determine if stock is available to ship as we do not have the ability to see what products Home Depot carries in their warehouse.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent cut; excellent value I build hardwood cabinetry, often with hardwood plywood panels. This blade cuts an extremely smooth edge, with very little tear-out. I only hope Home Depot brings it back! January 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice blade Very impressed with this blade. I have used it for crosscuts and some ripping hardwoods. It leaves a very nice glue line cut. I have not used the blade on any soft or sappy wood so I can't speak to the non-stick coating's effectiveness. It is quiet, cuts very cleanly and I've only had tearout on zebrawood. I can't think of any cons, at least not yet. I'll update if I do but, even at full price this is a very nice blade. March 20, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great blade, unbeatable value As a cabinet maker, I have used every high dollar blade sold by every big name company over the years. Long story short, after using this $50 blade from Ridgid, I will never buy another $130 table saw blade again. There's simply no reason to spend that much money when this blade does as good of a job for less than half the cost. December 23, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Same Quality as the High priced blades You may be surprised that this blade is the same top quality that you expect from a name brand blade that costs 2-3 times as much. It also performs just like the more expensive blades. I will be buying more of these! September 20, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent and Smooth I have had excellent result using this blade for trim and mouldng work. This produces smooth cuts with minimal tear out. I would recommend this to anyone. May 15, 2006
