I think it is heavy enough. I would check with the AC dealer. I run all sorts of power tools with it

The appliance is pulling all of the current, and should not be on an Extension Cord. The customer should contact the Appliance manufacturer to make sure that the appliance can deal with the “Voltage Sag” that comes with using such a long extension cord. Once he contacts the Appliance manufacturer they will probably suggest that they use a shorter cord.

Answer:
14 and 12 is the gauge of the wire. The smaller the number the greater the current. The 3 I believe means the cord is 3 wire, power, neutral and ground.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product, worked well for my needs. I bought this extension to plug into the block heater of my 78 bronco, which I park on the street, from my house. it has worked well. The lighted end is convenient for me to find it in the cold and dark. the plastic has not been brittle in the cold. I'm not sure how it will do as far as sunlight exposure, but I'll put it in the shed in the spring. Works fine for me. January 28, 2012
