Nice clean cut every time. I actually had an old one that I could not find and I tried with a larger pipe cutter and even a hacksaw and they leaked. After I had the pipe cutter what took hours took minutes and the first time I was able to make a perfect leak free joint. If you have the right tools for the job, it makes things so much easier. Never have found my old one, so I now have a dedicated tool box for plumbing where it has found a good home. It all started when my wife wanted me to fix a leak. I went to take out the valve stem with a wrench and the whole thing broke right off. Once I had this, less than a five fix to replace the entire valve and place an extension in to repair my prior poor cuttings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mini Cutter Available In the HVAC trade you need something that is pocketable as well as useful. Had to buy a cutter for 1-1/8" copper for a huge job. This handily cut well over 400' of copper without fault, from 1/4" to 1-1/8" as advertised. Expensive? Depends on the features you're looking for. This will fit into tight spaces that not all cutters capable of cutting large pipe will. Don't forget, there's a spare cutting wheel in the handle. And has a lifetime guarantee being a Ridgid product.

I'm a handyman by trade and I usually try and buy good tools for any and all jobs - even though i do very light plumbing repairs I trust the Ridged brand products I have seen them on the field and this particular little cutter works great - was recommended to me by another plumber who has used this product for years and i was happy with the quality and how easy it was to use Omar

Had to cut 3/4 copper in a confined trench, and the full size cutter was hard to use. Ran down to HD and this made my day much easier! Tracks straight every time, cuts clean, turns easily. The football shaped handle helps grip when hands are wet. Will fit copper pipe up to size listed as 1 inch.

We had a water leak and had to go to the nearest outlet to get a cutter and that was Home Depot. Because of the nature of the physical logistics of the pipe, this particular cutter fit our needs.
