Answer:
Any type of recip blades. I'd recommend the Milwaukee blades...the ones that have silly names like,"The Ax" or "The Torch." Not the cheap ones! The Milwaukee blades are thick (straight cuts), sharp (cut when/where you want), and last a while (longer than the other guys).
Do yourself a favor and get the good ones. You'll be glad you did.

The blades are typically best for demolition where you will be cutting wood and any metal that might be in the path of the blade like a nail. With blades for demo choose your length carefully. If you are cutting into walls you want you blade to be deep enough to be through the wall but so deep to go through what might be behind it.
As as brand goes choose the best value to durability. Some of the blades will have better quality metals and coatings that might make them last longer or cut faster. Usually though these upgrades are only marginal and probably not worth the increased expense. Read Less

Answer:
There is not a specific brand of reciprocating saw blade recommended. The blade holder is designed to accept standard shank reciprocating saw blades.

Answer:
The LSA coverage is the same for individual console tools, as it is for tools in tool kit, since it is a tool. However individual purchases of batteries and chargers carry a three year warranty only, no LSA coverage applies to them

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Saw being in my field I use a Sawz-all in my job alot I've had others but up until I bought the Rigid Sawz-All I never knew what power & versitility was the mere fact the handle rotates 360 degrees makes the saw more apt to get into tight places , the Saw never Bogs down and has power to spare , changing the blade is a one handed operation as well as adjusting the foot , I'd recommend this Saw from light duty to heavy duty it's an all around ecellent saw and its is quite comfortable to use I'll never buy another Sawz-All but Rigid and all my Power Tools are being switched to Rigid ........... Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Way too bulky and heavy Had to try this out because I'm a big fan of Ridgid (actually fan of their lifetime warranty), it had rotating head, and the price was too good to pass up. HOWEVER upon receipt I found the tool to be WAY TOO BULKY and WAY TOO HEAVY compared to their current model or those of my Milwakee and dewalt equivalents. Also the power seemed a bit slow for this weight compared to the newer sleeker model. Returned w/o hassle and traded in for the small ridgid sawzall. August 27, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ridgid 12-amp orbital reciprocating saw This is the most awesome ricprocal saw we've ever used it is beefy but not to heavy and very versitle. I can cut easily in places you usually stuggle with it rotates nicely. we recommend this to anyone who has ever used a saw like this before. We have a very well known name brand like this saw and performance wise the more expensive name brand doesn't compare to this Ridgid. The Ridgid out preforms it in every way including price. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good saw This is my first sawsall, so I gave it a good review because it did the job. This saw has plenty of power, I installed a drain clean-out on the outside of the house and had to cut some cast iron pipe(a good blade is a must for this). If you buy off brand blades you might have to do a bit of filing to get the blades to fit. This saw feels a bit heavy but in a good way, very sturdy. Mine did not come with the lighted cord but no biggie. November 20, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok but loses blade I bought this saw for weekend projects as a homeowner. I have used other brands for business but seen the price on this product. I do not use it a lot but when I do the blades will not stay locked in. Other than that it seems to work well but for the extra money I will get better name brand next time so I don't have to keep running to the store for blades. March 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Haven't used it yet, but seems to be solid. I have yet to use this saw, but the weight of it, and the construction seems to be good. I know some reviews are against the weight, but many times these saws are used on something over head or just out of reach and the extra weight of the saw helps to keep downward weight/pressure on whatever you might be cutting. February 19, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Would not recommend for homeowner or contractor Very heavy, no case or bag included which is a pain to keep the blades and saw together for when you need it. also no lighted cord as promised in the description. Trigger feels cheap! On the plus side motor seems strong.the rotating handle is "Different " seems like they were just looking to add bells and whistles when then made it. Hope it lasts! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This Ridgid saw has plenty of power! I love my new 12 AMP Orbital Reciprocating Saw. Very easy to change the blades and it just keeps on going till my job is complete. Ridgid makes excellent products all around. I bought Ridgids portable table saw about 6 years ago and it still performs like new. Keep making great tools for the tough jobs I use them for. Thank you!
