I am 70 years old and needed a shop vac I could handle alone. I can lift this one empty. The only thing I needed help with was installation of the wheels. Don't have the hand strength. Needed someone else to put them in. It works well picking up dry items. Havent tried it wet. Used dust bags so I could empty it and make it lighter to lift.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by john146 It just works
Just like the same implies, it is Rigid and it is a work horse that is reliable. I know it works because every group contractors I see has one of these. I always see it beat up and covered in dirt but still working hard. It is a must for any homeowner. I have used to clean my van so that expense is out the window.

perfect for cleaning garage and attic. The unit moves very easily, the suction is great, the length of the electric cord and the hose and wand units is perfect for reaching high and low. The attachments are built to last. The wider diameter of the hose is very important for getting up larger items.

Nothing was provided to keep the wheels secured and had to super glue them in as I didn't want to exchange the unit.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easyuse powerful and efficient
Great for all uses, used it to clean out AC Pipes saving myself a bundle as well as the garage and car. My husband will use it for his Mobile car wash business and is pleased with it's efficiency.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by campyll Worst product I have bought in recent years
This vac is the most awkward and unfriendly product to use that I have ever encountered. First, it does not have convenient attachments for use on such as a garage, etc. - nothing to get into corners, etc. Then, the cheap attachments are so difficult to get on so that they stay, that I, a woman, cannot use them. IF you do get them on once, you cannot remove them easily. They stick until you nearly pull yourself apart. Unfortunately, I didn't return this when I should have so now I am forced to buy a user-friendly one and junk this one.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Pete cheaply built
The power head and the canister are held together by a snap type fitting. There is no seal whatsoever where the two meet. This is fine when the vacuum is on. However, the second you turn it off, the contents of the canister leak out around the mating surface. You basically have to then sweep up again what you just vacuumed. I informed ridgid about the issue and the operator said that it is working properly.
I'll be returning this immediately. Don't waste your money on this cheaply built vacuum.
