Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GAHANDYMAN Powerful, Light Weight, Led Work Lights on the tools and a great warranty!
I was really amazed at the power these 12 volt tools provide for such a small size, they really pack a punch! They are all loaded with great features like the LED light on each tool, it makes it alot easier when you can see in tight places when you have a light. The impact has a battery life guage located on the side which is handy along with a belt clip. The 2 speed drill has a easy to use chuck that you tighten with your hand. The multi tool is able to cut in places that other larger tool cannot reach. It is very light weight and it has lots of different attachment that make it very versitile. The kit has two batteries and a charger. Make sure you register your tools to take advantage of the warranty. Ridgid has the best warranty in the industry, it provides a lifetime warranty on the tools and even the BATTERY as long as its not abused. I promise you will love this tool kit!

Bought a combo of the Jobmax and a drill with two batteries and charger. Really like the drill and the Jobmax is OK as a saw/sander. Attachments for Jobmax are not really as great an idea as I thought they would be and price is a issue. Major problem with these units is the 12v batteries. Charge fast, but life is VERY poor. I've had Ryobi batteries that have lasted several years, while these Rigid ones died in less than a year. Now they still work, but for very short times. Not really thinking its worth buying more 12v batteries for these units. Shame to just junk the units, but seeing much better places to spend the $$$$.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RVlady Lightweight, power, perfect for the ladies!
I have had this combo kit for over two years...until this last RV trip. Parts of kit STOLEN out of baggage bins. I will be replacing it as soon as I can. I am a 50+, not in great shape, lady. I have put up a 25 foot section of fence (every board screwed in place!), replaced flooring in closets (LOVE that recip saw in tight spaces!), and done all sorts of curtain hanging and other small jobs around the house. I love the light weight, especially when up on a ladder, working at the end of my reach. The batteries charge in a jiffy, so I never had to wait on a battery when throwing up the fence.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mtman I returned it.
I ordered online and had high hopes, but I returned it to the store. It is fantastic that Home Depot makes it so easy to return items ordered online. I wanted an oscillating saw for light duty work, and also a compact impact driver, so I thought this set would be perfect (and the price was great). One battery took 3 tries to charge (charger indicated it was defective twice). The drill and driver are anything but compact - heavy for 12v and the ergonomics are poorly designed. The handles are fat, they aren't balanced very well, and they weigh almost as much as my 18v Makita set. The Makita tools are a little heavier, but feel lighter because of their skinny handles and compact design. Sorry Ridgid, but Makita spoiled me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dandrade3960 Awesome tool sad to see it go
Have had this tool for close to two years now I am a mechanic and use it daily for interior use to remove dashboards, door panels, and tight to reach areas. Plenty of torque to torque down 3/8 bolts and nuts with an adapter use it for drilling small parts as well. Can drive a 3/8x5 lag bolts into 4x4. Love the 3 ring led and the one hand chuck and the fuel gauge sad to see those features go on the newer one. Can't wait to see a new update on the 12v hopefully a 3/8 chuck will come out along with the 1/4 hex.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dirtbuilt Super light, easy to use, perfect for light/medium jobs
I have numerous drills, impact drivers, etc. and love this little compact cordless impact driver. 1100 inch pounds = 91 foot pounds, so needless to say it can handle many tasks around the house, and light to medium duty stuff as well. It is light weight, which is nice, especially not having to carry around my heavier 18v versions for average jobs. 2 batteries is nice too, so you always have one on standby. The battery lift indicator is great, and its easy to see on the upper side of the handgrip.
Overall a great little unit. Its my go-to for everything. I have Makita drills & impact drivers, DeWalt XRP's, etc. and use this 90% of the time!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hankster Product has great features
I purchased this product because of the ridged name and the fact that I have a number of ridged power tools which are great. . . .So the choice to purchase this one was easy. . . .I had read the reviews and there was only one that I was concerned about. . . .Battery. . . .When I received the multi tool, I placed battery on charge to make sure it was fully charged. . . .I then proceeded to make several cute in some pine. . . .At 1/2 - 2/3 rd's speed, the battery lasted approx. 5 minutes. . . .What a disaster. . . .You would need 2- 3 batteries to do 10-15 minutes work. . . .Needles to say, I am returning the product for a refund. . . .I ended up using a friends 12V multi tool (not a ridgid# and had no problem completing my job with one battery #approx. 20-30 minutes of pretty continuos use). . .I was really looking forward to having and using this product . . . .Wish that someone could give me an answer to the problem and why it has not been corrected. . . .

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jtalley007 There appears to be a defect with this tool, everyone has the same issues
While I own about every Ridgid product and they have all performed well and held up well, this tool must have a design flaw. The tool will work ok for a bit then I'm not sure if it gets hot and shuts off or what but just stops. Like all of my 12 volt tools, the batteries don't hold up well so if you get one be sure to register it properly and when they replace your batteries under warranty, re-register them asap. The tool is handy and cuts ok but something is not right with mine and I need to ship it back to have it repaired or replaced. Despite battery issues and minor things like this I have continued to purchase Ridgid tools because of the warranty. I know all batteries will eventually fail so at least I'm covered as long as I live.
