Answer:
It should be able to do that easily. However, depending on the size of the well it may require you to empty the 12 gal bucket a few times before you empty the well. I would get the water only filter for that as well.

What is the duty cycle of this unit? I need to leave it on for hours at a time to clean up my CNC table as it cuts.

Answer:
There isn't a duty cycle rating that I'm aware of but the Ridgid vacs run at a lower rpm than others and should run several hours with no problems. You may need to replace motor brushes occasionally.

Answer:
I have run mine for extended periods up to 15-20 minutes and have not noticed any excessive heat or noise from the unit. Keep the electrical connection as short as possible (ie. don't use long extension cords). If an electrical extension is necessary, keep it as short as possible and as large of gauge wire as possible to prevent voltage loss which will cause the motor to generate heat/early failure.

Answer:
Not sure of the duty cycle, but I was told that the motors in this series of vacuums for the past 3 years are rated to last 500 hours. The head unit gets down right uncomfortably hot after running for 10 minutes. Not industrial quality, so I'd doubt continuous duty. Would probably be fine for 30% duty cycle with good cool air flow.

Answer:
Hi, alf2005
Ridgid does not offer a specific duty cycle for their shop vacs. However the motors in their vacs are thermal protected. If the motor begins to overheat, the thermal switch will shut it down to protect it from overheating and failure.

I find the paper filter cartridge clogs quickly when vacuuming up MDF dust. Is there a pre-filter available?

I give mine a thump on the top when I turn it off to knock the dust from the filter. I have also used a piece of old panty hose as a prefilter.

The prefilter that I found in-store is fairly "course". Great for larger wood chips, etc. Not good for fine dust, which is the culpret of the clogged paper filter.

Answer:
The blower works very well for gen. purpose. I could not find anything on the CFM rating on the vac. or in the documents that came with it. If you are going to use it as a blower frequently you may want to purchase a different blower nozzle. The one that came with the vac. works fine, but it doesn't focus the air as well as the blower nozzle on the Toro blower I used to have.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent Vacuum I bought this vacuum as it was on sale. It's a good vacuum for large open spaces but not ideal for cleaning in tight spaces like your car. I used a pvc pipe coupler and taped a smaller diameter hose to the larger hose to accomplish most of what I needed to have done. Pros: -Good value. -Good power. Cons: -The hose is a bit short and very thick to get in between things. -The attachments are OK. June 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Blows but no roll! This does a really great job blowing and a nice job as a vacuum as well, however the wheels never popped into place so I have to drag it as a vacuum. Not ideal hence why I'm not giving this full stars. Perhaps mine is just a bad product with faulty wheels but after trying for over and hour, then again on different occasions to get them to pop and fit, I gave up. Good luck and hope no one else has this same problem. Blowing and sucking are both great though! June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wet/Dry vacuum Works well and is a a reasonable price. Every home should have a wet/dry vacuum June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Larger than Life! I haven't had a lot of opportunity to utilize this very large machine yet, but the time will come when the garage will be as clean as the house! I'm very disappointed, though. that the detachable blower was not in the box when it arrived. If this was a promotion without the blower, it should not be advertised as having one included. I also would have liked to have a brush nozzle. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, better value This shop vac exceeded my expectations! With the large hose it picks up just about anything you throw at it. It's extra powerful, so picking up matted dog hair in my truck's carpet was a breeze. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great vacuum and blower! This really is the best bang for your buck! It picks up everyhting! Finally vacuum that has a decent length cord! It gets the job done! June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great power great price good product easy to use and clean very powerfull I like it removes most dog hair from back seat of my truck June 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great in a crisis I purchased this last year when the rains were so heavy, it was flooding my garage. This apparatus worked so well to keep up with the water coming over the sandbags. Very easy to use and great suction. I am excited about discovering new uses for it around the house. August 17, 2016
