I bought the ac20502 blades after reading the answer given by ridgid that it will work in my r4331 planer, and the first answer given that NO, these blades will NOT work is the correct answer, ridgid gave me bad advice by saying these will work, they are too long and dont fit, they are longer with the notches on the ends, as i have tried installing them, but there is not enough clearance to accommodate the additional length that the notches add to the blade length. I bought these a few months ago to have ready when the time came to replace the blades, but since i got bad advice from ridgid, im out $30 bucks and home depot dont have the blades i need and ill have to look to amazon or somewhere to buy them. I'm very mad at ridgid for being wrong. I need blades now, that was the point of buying them shortly after buying the ridgid planer. Read Less

Answer:
No. The package says they do but they are too long. These are longer with notches on the ends that make them not line up and fit on the stabalizer metal pegs..

I have a Delta planer (model # 22-580) and cannot find the blades called for (model 22-549.) The Ridgid blades look like they may work. Do you know?

Answer:
Not sure. My understanding is planer blades are pretty specific to the manufacturer. The best way to find out is to put them on and see if they fit. If they do not fit EXACTLY like the blades recommended for your Delta, don't use them on it! Could see a lot of damage to the machine if they're off a tiny bit. Good luck!

No, we do not know if they will fit the Delta #22580? Delta would need to advise the customer in regards to what their planer model will accept.
Thanks,

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Dissapointed Very concerned that I purchased a "Home Depot" exclusive product that no longer offers purchasing blades in-store. What an inconvenience to be in the middle of a project that is time sensitive and be left hung out to dry..... So disappointed that I have made the leap to all exclusive Rigid tools, I hope I was not making a multi thousand dollar mistake in doing so. December 22, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent planer blades For the money it's nice that they are double sided. The plastic cap they have on the ends are hard to get off without cutting your fingers. Did that the first time. They chip very easy. I would still recommend this product. September 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with this purchase I've used this thickness planer for about two years now with no real issues. It makes really nice, level cuts with minimal snipe as long as you keep the board length within recommended limits. Setting up the entrance and exit tables is simple, but critical to eliminate any snipe. Operation is easy and simple. My shop space is limited so for ease of use and storage I bolted my planer to a rolling table and I'm pretty happy with the arrangement. Lately I've experienced the reset circuit breaker being triggered during extended use. Quite frankly, I don't know if that's because it's not intended to be operating it for as long as I have been or if the breaker has become weakened. I first noticed it when I was planning some 10" wide mesquite boards. This material is very hard and even with 1/32" cuts it made the planer work pretty hard. The breaker triggered several times during this activity and it seems to happen more often since. Or it could be I'm just working it more. My only real complaint is not with the machine, but with the warranty registration process that Ridgid employs. I bought the machine while traveling and didn't set it up until several weeks after the purchase. By then I had destroyed the credit card receipt which, as it turned out, contained some critical information to complete the warranty registration. That's the primary reason it got four stars instead of five. October 13, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great price, but you get what you pay for. First unit, picked up in mid November, lasted less than a week. Sounded as if the bearings were failing, or something was misaligned. I had already started the project, so time was of the essence. Swapped it in for #2. It lasted a while longer, but did not seem to cut at the same speed. Bogged down on pine. Attributed to dull blades. Today, the lift mechanism failed. Seems the set screws backed out and were lost. Unit #3 was picked-up this morning. It has a defective cutting head. The boards are scored as they pass through the unit. #3 cuts better than the other two by far, but I can't have this line in the middle of the work. #4 tonight. January 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My new thickness planer is slicker than snot on a pump handle. This is the second thickness planer I have owned made by Ridgid. It is easy to use and is a great tool to have in the shop. I am 70 years old, and I have used thickness planers for many years... since the 10th grade of H.S. Many of my earlier years' planers were more of a commercial-industrial type, but now my wood working is slowing down, as is my own body, so the stationary thickness planer by Ridgid is more to my speed. It is a good tool and does a great job for "non-production" work. I am pleased with it as a licensed residential-commercial Handyman. It does everything I ask of it and possibly more. A good investment for the work shop of any woodworking enthusiast. November 24, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The warranty is none existant Beware if you need parts up here in BC(Canada) its a nightmare trying to find them. Don't bother going to the vendor as they don't even know where the supplier is for parts or repair. I would think twice about buying any rigid small tool for this reason. Its a joke when you have a warranty and no one including Rigid can send you in the right direction. The number on the parts book that came with the machine is not in service. You have been warned. Don't use the planer if you lose a small blade spring, the button heads do unscrew themselves through vibration and jam the planer. It worked well for a month or two of light usage. August 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing value and performance Had this little planer for several years ( did not realise then that there was a lifetime warranty available but fortunately have not needed it so far) Done an amazing amount of work including facing about 3 dozen sawn cedar 6x6 for three decks and all the deck timber plus all the usual shop jobs and still have the original blades in use!! I love ALL my Ridgid tools , including table saw, impact drivers regular drills and my wife keeps stealing my Ridgid radio as it sounds so good. Had three batteries replaced with no trouble at all, The Nanaimo service centre even had two delivered as I was some way away and he was out of stock when I visited. Keep up the good work guys ,excellent products and service ,thankyou........................... November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great blades! These blades are great for planing the hardest of woods. I used them on several board ft of Red and White Oak. As with any planer, removing minimal layers of wood on each pass is key. These blades performed very well and now I'm looking for someone local to sharpen them so i can keep them for a long time!
