Absolutely Ricinfl, it can even cut 4x4s as well. The blade is 10" in dia. so you could cut up to about 5" or 6" than flip the board if its larger than that.

It means the head of the saw can tilt both to the right and the left. Typically saws only bevel one direction.

That means that the saw is designed to allow for the blade to be tilted to the right or left, for right and left bevel cuts.

is it full dual bevel?

two reviews complain that the right side bevel doesn't work properly. Is this true, or are those reviewers mistaken (no offense, guys!). I tried it at the store and it seemed to go all the way on the right once the removable portion of the fence is out of the way.

Can RIDGID or someone who owns the tool confirm or deny? Thanks!

Answer:
The right side mitre has limited travel due to the placement of the motor on the tool, anything larger than a 2x4 will have to be cut to the left.

Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!
There are some models that would not go completely to the 45 degree. The product managers were working to fix this issue in production. Unfortunately there is not a date code as to when that would have been corrected on the saws.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 54 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Product work great, easy to use. Only thing I would say that they can have the center strip precut and laser is good but not easy to align. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good saw I have this saw and I love it. I use it in my garage for my wood working projects. Great saw for the money. September 2, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good for rough in but... I have owned the R4120 for several years and have a couple of complaints about the design (which hasn't changed as far as I can tell). 1. I have to pay close attention to the bevel and frequently adjust it. 2. The motor is positioned on the tool in a manner which limits the mitre's travel when rotating the table counterclockwise with anything larger than a 2x4. With those complaints out of the way, it cuts wood and aluminum well enough for rough in work but it will try your patience if you try using it on trim or critical cuts. I have purchased countless RIGID tools and will continue to do so but, it pays to spend a few extra dollars for a higher end tool (no matter what brand). October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great. Haven't used it much yet but setup was straightforward and settings were spot on. Looking forward to having it a long time. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the money Great features on this saw. The laser is easily adjustable ad the double bevel feature works fine, you just need to remove the right upper fence before making right-had bevel cuts to allow motor clearance. The saw is significantly lighter-weight than my DeWalt but the Ridgid has significantly more blade defelction than the DeWalt. The blade on the DeWalt is sturdy as a rock while the blade on the rigid will noticeably move when you move the handle side to side. If not for the blade deflection, I would give this saw 5 stars. July 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ridgid 10" mister saw I had one issue with this product, center plastic strip that receive blade was not slotted from factory costumer has to do it at home, if you are a do it your self it's alright but if you are a bigginer it's nerve recking cutting through a new piece of equipment .besides this the double miter angles are a huge upgrade from the last model before this one that only allowed you to cut in only one position. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value I bought this saw to cut tounge and groove boards to length and will eventually move on to crown molding and base boards. Cuts very nicely for the cost, easy to set up. For an amateur like myself very happy with the result and functionality. July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Laser is Junk I have rehabbed over 1200 houses and purchased this saw as a lightweight alternative to my sliding miter and 12" miter saws. I wanted a 10" to make quick cuts without getting out the heavier saws. I only stick to Milwaukee, dewalt, Bosch and Bostich brands. I have used every brand out there and found these are the best. So this was my first Ridgid Tool, purchased at HD and brought directly to a job for use. Loved the compact size however I could not get the laser adjusted properly. It was off about 1/4" to the left. After 30 min I gave up drove back to HD and bought the Dewalt 10". I think Ridgid is trying to put too many features in an inexpensive saw. Dewalt keeps it simple and I recommend skipping this saw and buying Dewalt. May 21, 2016
