Blade wobble?

Ive read in some of the reviews about the blade wobble. Im wondering if i buy this saw and get the lifetime and it happens to have a wobble will it be repaired for free also. I love the rigid tools but i just dont want to get a bad tool and be stuck

I'm a professional finish carpenter. When I saw one on display at Home Depot, I had to buy it, especially for that price ($349). Being able to make 70-degree cuts would be amazing. Being able to cut through 16" particle board shelving without having to lift the material in order to saw all the way through would be super. The LED light is helpful for cutting more precisely. Lots of great things that beat anything else I've seen. BUT, it had the blade wobble problem. So I exchanged it for another one. The second one was way worse. Made bearing noise, and created a vibration when actuating the blade. Those problems will only become worse with use. Very unfortunate. I hope they're working to work the bugs out.

Miter Blade - I know that it comes with one, but what type of blade it is? For example All-Purpose (32 tooth) or Finish (80-tooth) blade? Should I buy another blade? Project: Making shelves/furniture. THX

Don't waste your money on an 80 tooth blade. If you've ever used an 80 on hard wood too know that a 60 is much more efficient

After running through about 20 pieces of flooring the blade started to shake when you started to make contact with your material. After looking at the reviews on the Ridgid site I saw where they are were having issues with the arbor. Sure enough, I was having the same issue. You would think they would fix the issue and remove all of the affected units from the shelves. Instead they knowingly keep bad product out there selling to unsuspecting customers. Bad decision Ridgid, you are now on my banned manufacturer list. After owning many Ridgid products for years the company simply cannot be trusted anymore.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Typical Ridgid There are so many things about this saw to love except the most important - it's ability to saw wood. Many bells and whistles where engineered into this saw but unfortunately I think that pulled too much attention away from what matters. I just purchases the saw today and had the same experience many others have. The arbor seems to be poorly manufactured causing the blade to spin off-center like a parabola, not in a true circular plane causing it to jump slightly when the blade makes contact. This was immediately noticeable as soon as i squeezed the trigger for the first time. There was some lateral deflection in the blade which is to be expected from a Ridged product like this. Nothing too bad, but not good enough for the type of work I do. But the parallel deflection was actually starting to worry me to the point that I stopped using it today. You feel the whole assemble shake the moment the blade contacts whatever piece you are cutting. It was to the point where I was a little nervous about throwing a tooth off the blade. I took the blade off and re-attached just to see if it came loose but it was attached correctly. You can tell the arbor just isn't made well and feels cheap. I'm a general contractor who does a lot of finish carpentry so I have a good amount of experience and this is by far the worst wobble in any blade I've every seen. I'm really hoping this is one of the defective ones because I really want this saw to work out. Going to exchange it for another one this week and give'er one more chance to prove itself or Milwaukee it is. I will update.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Amazing potential, but one critical flaw I really wanted to love this saw. In fact, I've been trying to justify keeping it, despite what others have described: the blade wobble (or shutter, really). I'm amazed that this product made it through engineering, let alone quality assurance, with such a pronounced flaw--that is clearly a design defect since it is present in almost every saw that ships. I hope that Ridgid fixes this issue--this would be a phenomenal saw, otherwise. With a 70* cutting angle in both directions, this saw would be a top contender. As it is, though, it is passable for cutting lumber, but unusable for finish work. I'm still a fan of Ridgid products, but am disappointed by this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blade wobble Blade wobble seems to be a common problem with this saw. I tried it a couple different ways blades and even tried a balanced uninterrupted power supply thinking an over draw may be an issue it was not. Shame really the saw had fantastic potential. if they fixed that aspect of the saw it would be excellent.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blade wobble reviews are true!! I read several reviews and the only negatives all involved blade wobble. Well, I do a lot of woodwork and really loved the idea of 70 degree angles because I cut 60 often. This saw has blade wobble- there is no denying it. 349.99 for a saw that won't do finish work- the only reason I am giving it two stars is because all the other features are awesome. Unfortunately, the most basic feature (a straight cut), isn't here. Not pleased

HUGE step up in Ridgid's miter saw game, The fit and finish on this thing is impeccable, up there with some of the best saws on the market. It came out of the box completely dead square and plum. The only qualm I have in the fit and finish department is that the extension fences are not square to the table. It is a huge improvement over past saws in: dust collection, fit and finish, versatility and features. the 70 degree bevel feature is very useful, although I have my concerns about safety with the blade swung that far over. But the two unsung feature of this saw are the shadow line (way more useful than a laser) and what seems like the biggest cross cut capacity on the market. I am a huge fan of this saw,

Great saw for a closet contractor or just to cut larger dimensional lumber but not a finish saw or precision saw. Has 16+ inches of crosscut capacity great for shelving and it is reasonability accurate with a large table. I would use it for rough framing also where we have lots of 4x12 headers to cut and even beams. It would also make a good paint grade crown molding saw but stain grade. For finish work on stain grade material I would look further. If you need good miter saw for anything but fine carpentry this saw can't be beat for the price.

There IS a bit of blade wobble. People have differing opinions on this. Some say its only until the blade gets to full speed, others indicated its like the blade is going to fall off. They are both wrong. I compared it to a couple other miter saws at my disposal. It's is in line with most other models. If you need a super precise cut all the time, then you will need to spend your money. However, for woodworking, trim, and anything else around the house, it works spectacularly. The extended miter angles are great too. I do wish it came with a better blade though. The one it arrived with is garbage. Thrown on a Diablo and you will forget any questions you have about this saw.
