Answer:
I would not recommend it, from a safety perspective this tool was not designed to cut wood and should only have abrasive wheels used with it.

It is not designed for this purpose and the wood sawdust generated will kill the electrical motor internal parts

Answer:
I think you CAN"T. I am not even sure they make a (wood) blade that fits this. The chop saw is not as precise cutting and it isn't designed to hold larger sized stock (you wouldn't generally be cutting 2"x4" solid steel bar with something this puny). Even if you can, I don't think it is a good idea. The arbor sizes are different, and this is probably on purpose.

Answer:
The manufacturer says not to cut wood with this saw. That being said, I am not saying to do it, but, I put a 14" wood blade on this saw when i had to cut about 200 4x4's into short lengths. It worked great and it went through them like a hot knife through butter. Do it at your own risk but it worked excellent for me.

No, that cannot be recommended. The metal cut-off machine is not designed for use on wood or wood related materials.

The attached fence can be angled. The blade does not angle though, so you can't cut compound miters.

Hi Lorenzo, you can adjust the fence to make angle cuts from 0 to 45 degree.
Take a look at use and care manual located on the right side of the web product page. Start at page 8 and go forward.

If you are having a dust issue, I suggest looking into getting a Wet Saw, it uses water as a lubricant, it cuts down on the dust and the blades last longer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Used once Same as all the others I have owned, (except Harbor Freight). Good power, comes with a blade, I like the quick release to adjust the angle. That adjuster is what sold me, no tool to get out. August 2, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by best buy out of the bunch but still only for the handyman not pro. this saw does in fact work ok, it will grind thru 1" by 3" solid steel. for a fence contractor this is it. maybe, 1st the saw then my final recomendation. the saw does cut shooting sparks out the back, the collector is OK at best, the clamp has a tendency to ride up on small stock as there is gap or play in the bolt. the cut is almost straight. pitched to the top right a few degrees not a big deal if your not machining it. the motor did die on me under 1 year of part time at best use but we did ask more out of it the pipe, and as long as you have time for home depot to service it it does come with a lifetime warranty the best I've ever seen. now if you are to use this item every day even if it's 2-3 cuts or for your job I STRONGLY recommend the (evolution saw) it cuts all metal ferris or non, that's right aluminum! it is much more accurate, and it's still cold cutting no fluid. my welding supply store sells the, home depot sells them online they are truly amazing machines built to do 1 thing cut. if you need it today buy the ridgid if you can wait order the evolution saw pro or steel version and you will be so happy you did. all I can say. I own. both my ridgid is collecting dust in a storage unit my evolution makes me profit and takes stress away. happy cutting April 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Well I've only had the saw 3 days and I have to admit the saw works great when I can keep the wheel guard from flopping around or falling off!! Well I've only had the saw 3 days and I have to admit the saw works great when I can keep the wheel guard from flopping around or falling off!! When I took it out of the box & got all the wrapping off of it I noticed the blade guard was really loose. So I got a couple of wrenches to tighten up the two nuts and bolts holding it on and wouldn't you know it... Bolt broke!! This is the worst design on a tool I've ever seen!! Anyhow the saw does work very well when you don't have to work on it!!! April 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT TOOL The tool works flawlessly. I used it all day to cut tubing and it performed better than what I had expected. You can't beat the warranty, better than any other manufacturers warranty. All around very impressed. March 8, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Negative-The ripping gate was not "straight" which lead to angled cuts that did not fit property. The clamp came apart the second time I used the saw. Positive-It cut 1/8 mild steel angle iron without an issue at 90 degrees, but using the miter was entirely disappointing. I returned the saw after the clamp came apart. January 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Forced into this purchase... not upset This was the only chop saw my local home depot had at the time when I was forced to run out and buy one in the middle of a job when my other chop saw died... Wasn't crazy about it but necessity... All in all it did the job I asked of it. I like the carrying handle on the top and the machine works well. Seems a little on the slower side, but then again i was cutting 2" by 0.25" wall angle iron miters all day... Which brings me to my biggest gripe, the miter adjustment on this saw is clunky at best, extremely difficult to get set just right for the perfect angle. If you have the time and ability, make your own miter jig and don't use theirs... If you work with metal infrequently, this is probably a great chop saw, but isn't the best choice if you're changing angles all the time. December 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chop Saw A great tool for cutting metal. It is rugged and performs well. A great addition to the workshop. January 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Most chop saws get this score, so don't be surprised Most metal chop saws simply are of such low quality that they are not worth purchasing. This saw is no exception to that rule. The fence adjustments are crude and slow to adjust. The motor draws more than a 15 amp breaker will allow so it will always throw the breaker. I'd hope this saw would be an exception to the other brands I've used in the past 20 years but unfortunately it is equally a poor value to all the other models. Only purchase this type of saw if you want to cut 1/8 wall tubing of pipe max. Otherwise look for commercial quality machinery. If they can't build a better piece of equipment they shouldn't have even tried June 18, 2015
