For the money, you just can't get a better saw. I paid $110 on sale and I passed up a Makita and a DeWalt to try this one out. I don't regret it a bit. Blade adjustment couldn't be easier, the base is heavy duty with a thick edge for running down a rip guide and the kirf marks in the base are dead on. I was cutting very wet decking and she never slowed down. The 15amp motor handle the biggest jobs and that 12' power cord can't be beat. I had myself convinced I needed a $200 saw to get good results but this thing rocks! Registered it for the lifetime service so I'll never have to buy another saw again.

A good quality saw for the price. The 12' cord makes a world of difference from my old Skill brand saw. You get 15 amps, a light weight magnesium guard, solid and flat base, as well as a free LIFETIME service agreement when you register your tool. This even covers regular wear items like the brushes, trigger and the cord, as long as you don't cut it with the saw! I compared it with my buddy's new $150 DeWalt saw and found the Ridgid to have a sturdier base plate. The DeWalt moved ever so slightly even when locked. The o degree is adjustable with a screw in the base plate and all the locking levers are indexable. I use mine for decks, renos and around the house and it's nice to have adjustability built into the saw just in case I drop it and knock it out of wack.

I enthusiastically echo the superlatives expressed by the other reviewers. This Ridgid product is so good; so well made and thought out it is hardly believable it can be in the same price class as some of the pedestrian competing models it is being compared to; Milwaukee, Dewalt, Skil, Ryobi etc. The design for 'useability' is what I like most. It is such a pleasure to use and makes the job go so quickly I find myself looking for more reasons to use it. All saws cut wood. Not many make it a joy to do so.

I was fed up with my battery powered saw. Picked this saw up, Was cutting within ten minutes of opening the box. Excellent quality so far, Easy setup. Prefer the lighted cord to many other products, especially when you've got 4 tools plugged in at the same time and need to make a switch.
Gave it 4 stars, only due to the lack of an edge guide in the box, despite the claim in the ad.

for an every day saw I find it to be highly reliable. I really enjoy the little features they've added; like the light on the cord. the saw seems to be of solid construction, and has not let me down with it's preformance.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ryanb82 Great tool for a part-timer or Pro!
I just bought this saw 2 nights ago and I couldn't wait to use it. First off, I love the look of it. Rigid has always stayed true to their roots with their look and quality. When I took it out of the box, the first thing I noticed is that it is rather light-weight but feels very sturdy. Changing the blade is simple (once I found the key under the handle) and quick and all the adjustments that can be made on the saw can be done quickly on the fly. When I cut into my first piece of wood I didn't have to do anything except guide it. It cuts through 2- 2x6's screwed together as if I was cutting thru a 1x2. I've used the cheaper Ryobi's with a brand new blade and nothing close to this saw which is very reasonably priced at $99. This is my first Rigid product I've ever owned (used a lot of my dad's and friends' tools tho) and I can't wait to buy more from this company. I would recommend picking up a fine-tooth saw blade as well for a more diverse work load or cutting any laminated material, plywood or veneer but the 24-tooth that comes with it rips right through everything I've had it touch. And to boot, it has the lifetime guarantee that comes along with it if registered within 90 days!
