I have owned this saw for a few months now, overall it is a good saw but there are some issues with it.
It does not come with a fence and does not have any special features other than the spindle lock and integrated dust blower.
As other reviewers have mentioned the bevel angles are off by a couple of degrees so if you want to use preset bevel angles check them first with a speed square.
The base plate is slightly out of square so if you are running the left side of the base plate up against a rip guide the blade tends to bind some. Not a big deal but it could be better.
Part of the bevel angle assembly is bolted to the front of the blade guard so if you are right handed it tends to block the view of the blade when making a cut. This means when making a fine cut you have to lean over the saw to see the cut line on the right side of the saw.
None of these problems would be that difficult for Rigid to fix.
Overall it is a good saw for framing with plenty of power and superior ergonomics (feels the best in my hand of any saw I have ever owned) but it is not well suited to doing fine work. If you do a lot of work using bevel angles I would buy another saw.

This saw is a great addition to my collection of tools. It feels nice in hand and cuts true. Light weight. Lifetime Ridged warranty.

I was excited to find a reason to get a Ridgid circ saw. It feels really good in the hand. But, when you pull the trigger, it tends to twist in a clockwise motion. Not that big of a deal, but you need to be ready for it. The base plat is my biggest concern. I dropped it once and the plate is curved, now. It really needs to be twice as thick or have something to keep it flat, like a reinforced spine or a rolled edge. My Milwaukee has taken a ton of abuse and is still as flat as the day I got it.

Great saw for the price. Much better than my previous SkilSaw.

It was a short wait for my order. I couldn't be happier. Best saw I've bought yet.

I bought this saw to replace my burned out Ryobi saw that I have had for about ten years. When the ball bearings start falling out, that's a clue that your on your last cut. I was going to buy another Ryobi but the quality is very poor. Plastic blade guard - how long do you think THAT will last. So, the Ridgid has the lifetime warranty (as long as you register the tool which I did) and from what one Home Depot employee said, he "thinks" Home Depot bought out Ridgid and that's why they are giving the tools a lifetime warranty. Bring the tool back to the tool rental department at Home Depot and they send it out for repair. Guess time will tell on that statement. Anyhow, the first thing I noticed with the Ridgid is that it is heavy. After a full days use of this saw, it will take a toll on you. The other thing I notice is that the trigger and the trigger guard is small. Squeezing the trigger in such a small area I found that my index finger was getting pinched and by the end of the day I had a slight abrasion on the trigger finger. I'll have to get used to that. I used my older Diablo blade (great blade) and was able to cut through the 2 X 8 rough lumber all day without hesitation. I did rip cuts, cross cuts and even used the saw to shave a 2" X 2" board down to a round dowel to fit inside a 1 1/2" pvc pipe. The cut guide was right on my chalk line each and every time and the saw did not wander but again, I'm using a Diablo blade. Many reviews complained that the saw did not come with a rip fence or a case. Since I'm replacing my Ryobi, I already had a case, which the Rigid saw fits into very nicely, and I also have a fence. I'll have to find the right screw to hold the fence in place and once I do I'm all set there. Although, it wouldn't really hurt if Rigid had the fence and fence screw available at the Home Depot Store - I'm sure it would move off the shelf. All in all, I am pleased with the saw and I am hoping for years of use before any issue arise. If one does, I'll test the "Lifetime Warranty" and write another review for Ridgid tools.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MonsterBiker Excellent Quality, missing a few accessories.
This is yet another example of the excellent products built by Rigid. The angle adjustment stops work well, though I have not yet tested them for accuracy, other than the 90 deg. The depth adjustment works beautifully, and is more robust than that on most good quality saws, the shoe is very sturdy.
Drawbacks.... There was no rip guide included with this saw. I understand that this is common practice with cheap saws, but this ISN'T a cheap saw. Also, there was no retaining screw for the rip guide. I found both points to be minor annoyances. Oh, and the screw size is #10 32 if/when you want to buy one. I bought a 1" bugle head bolt and jammed a #10 32 wing nut to the bottom of the bolt's head.

Would definitely recommend if it came with a rip gauge. I'm not sure if its supposed to or not, but my cordless one did.
