I bought the tool a few months ago and only used it for small jobs. Since then I've replaced sections of four and six inch cast iron sewer line. The twist handle made the job so much simpler. I highly recommend this grinder performs well and very dependable.

Purchased this grinder because of the speed (8000 RPM). Needed the speed for the diamond grinding cup that I bought. It gets the job done!

Works as expected, it's right in line with its price. Middle of the line for contracting grade.

This grinder works great at my shop, for the guys. The wheels are easy to change, and has held up great with amount of use we put on it, motors, pipes (metal), and etc.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ironman didnt last 3 hours
I am taking this in for warranty the next couple of days. I bet I didn't get three hours on this thing before the motor smoked! The switches they are using on this ridged stuff are complete garbage! I bet that's all that was wrong with it at first but probably shorted out and that's what took out the motor. With in the first few minutes of using it the rocker switch would not turn it on and I had to shake it around to get it to fire up. I have a ridged shop vac that didn't last very long either from the same switch trouble. The product weight and power seem great. I like everything about this stuff, I guess I will see how the warranty goes and post more than.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cameraguy works great for now & life warranty, but not a Makita
The store had two options in this class, this rigid and a Makita for $10 more. The Rigid was considerably lighter weight but with the roughly the same specs and power (Though the Makita seemed better built.) I only needed this for one heavy job, and they were both too heavy for my usual needs, so chose the Rigid. This Rigid sounds like the bearings and motor are cheap--noisy and rough sound, but got a heavy duty job done. (Makita tools are usually sweet and smooth.)
Take away--for occasional use this seems great & lifetime warranty helps with some cheep build. But some other reviews complain of multiple servicing--so heavy extended users may want to look at other opions.
