I use the 18 gauge version of this at work almost everyday and have always been happy. I needed something a little beefier at home and this was, for me, the obvious choice. I love this tool and am starting to dream up new projects around the house just to use it. It does, however, jam quite often. The jams are very easy to clear and haven't appeared to damage the tool in anyway.

This came in a nice carry case, it works flawlessly. No complaints. Using for a BIG home project and have not had a jam yet, includes a swivel air intake which is handy as well.

I had to purchase this for hardwood flooring and trim installation work. It is an addition to my RIgid framing nailer and a very good product. Easy to use, no problems at all.

After owning this tool for two years I have no complaints. It's working strong and has prompted me to purchase two more for different gauges of nails.

Purchased this nail gun because my 15 year old angled Bostich blew a seal while installing new brick molding and storm door. I decided on this product because of the price but more importantly I've been using rigid power tools for awhile with no issues. I decide to forego the angle nail gun and try the straight nailer. This gun worked great, took it home loaded the 2 inch nails that came with it and finished an hour later. For me, the straight design was easier to handle and align with the target. The angle may give you more nails but I would recommend the straight. Can't provide any details for longevity but I'm a home owner with contractor skills and I don't have to worry about using it everyday.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brandon Light nailer, avoid Porter Cable nails
I purchased the first nailer and it made it halfway through my first day before starting to pancake the nails and/or shoot them halfway in and get jammed in the gun. I checked the pressure, oiled the front where it shoots the nails out and it continued to do it.
Exchanged for a new one and ended up having the same problem. Contacted Ridgid customer support (who were quickly available) and they said that Porter Cable brand nails have been showing problems because they started to manufacture the nail heads slightly smaller, which made sense because it appeared that the nail heads were getting bent over inside the gun. Purchased Hitachi nails and its worked great ever since.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handyman self explained of its use
The nailer is very easy to use. Directions could explain how to use all of features a little better but I was able to figure them out. It did not explain how to load nails but it was easy to figure out. I have built several sign holders with it and it works great. It does exactly what I wanted and needed. For me I would say it is a great value and I would recommend it.
