I started my Ridgid collection with the drill/driver combo, which came with two 1.5AH batteries. I added to my collection by picking up the circular saw, and the jigsaw, both bare (no batteries). I build sets for community theater, so when I use my tools, they get a ton of use. The circular saw would destroy the 1.5AH battery after just a few cuts (not surprising). But the 4.0AH battery just goes forever. I picked the 2-pack up while picking up lumber for set building, charged it up, then made a ton of cuts in plywood. At the end of the day, it still had 3 lights lit on the meter (out of 4). Very impressive. I'll still use the 1.5AH for the drill and driver due to the size and weight, but the 4.0AH batteries are perfect for the saws.

This is a Thanksgiving special 2-pack for the price of one at $99 which frankly is an incredible deal. I assumed the batteries would include the Lifetime warranty but after registering the serial numbers online a message said it was the mfrs limited warranty. Sure enough I looked at the packaging and a small logo on the front says 3 years. Not terribly upset but minus 1 star for that Rigid. As far as I know this is the only Ridgid cordless product at HD without the lifetime service agreement which was the main reason I went with the Ridgid brand. However you are getting 2 batteries for the price of one. Applying the 2 for 1 reasoning..... if I could snap my fingers a have 2 of every rigid cordless tool I own instead of the lifetime warranty I would so it's hard to be upset.

I just bought this 2 pack for $99 at my Grand Prairie TX store near Camp Wisdom and 360. Registered online at Rigid - 3 year warranty. Charged with my charger that came with the combo Drill and Impact Driver set ($159 now). No special charger required. Batteries normally $99 EACH; this is one heck of a bargain at $99 for two 4ah batteries. Did not see the 5ah battery in stock. Drill and Impact Driver still very comfortable even with the extra weight. Lovin it.

I originally purchased the drill / driver combo with the 1.5 Ah batteries and found them sufficient for small power applications. When using the 18v circular saw with the original 1.5 Ah batteries, I could only make about 4 to 5 rips in 8ft sheets of a full charge. This 2 pack is a fantastic buy and the batteries have lasted through over 30 cuts and still at 50%! They are not lifetime warrantied like some of the other batteries Ridgid offers. These are covered under a 3 year warranty. Not bad considering the cost for two heavy use batteries.
