Answer:
I don't work for either HD or Ridgid. Just a pro out here in the field putting these tools to the test everyday. My opinion is they won't make it available in stores basically because it's not gonna cut it. Way too overpriced for its inconsistent operation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Love this gun works great and it's not bulky or heavy it was expensive but nice to have a cordless option on smaller jobs June 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good brad nailer I have used this brad nailer over the last several years. I have not had too many complaints... and would actually go to say that the only issues i have had with this product is by user error but i am a guy so i will not actually go that far. it is nice that it gives you wide range of brads you can use. the depth function is easy to use. and it also has the ability to be used in the bump fire mode or single shot. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Strong and ligth Beside the fact that I nail myself in a 1 1/2" brad in my left leg by freaky accident of course, I still would recommend this tool anyway. I also purchased a compressor, a miter saw, and a table saw that I used for a completed renovation of my used house. I even paint my garage with the same orange color of your tools. November 24, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best of 4 tried. I was at a tool show where they demonstrating air & power tools from various manufactures. I had the opportunity to talk to most of them. When asked what brand they prefered I was amazed to find several mentioned Rigid, quality or ease use was mentioned. Also the lifetime warranty mentioned. After trying 4 brands I choose rigid. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great brad nailer !!!!! Just used this nailer to do some trim work around a couple of windows and doors . This nailer worked great used about a 100+ nails with only 2 misfires .Works better then my oid gas nailer, this has plenty of power to shoot 2"nails.Best part about this nailer is its quiet , no gas smell, and sinks the nails in evenly!!!!! As far as being durable only time will tell . love this nailer!!! December 28, 2013
