Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Slim Great Compact Radio for the jobsite, camping, fishing, garage
I Just recently purchased the 18 volt ridgid compact radio.I am a licensed plumber and use it at work. Most plumbers carry riidgid tools with them.I all ready had the batteries that came with my ridgid power tool combo kits,so I did not need to purchase them as an extra with the radio. The sound from the 1 speaker radio is very good, clear and perfect size so it doesn't take up much space in a tool box. A fully charged 18 volt ridgid battery will last the whole work day when I use it.A perfect compact radio with the ridgid reputation.A must add on for your ridgid tool collection.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by carsonsargod Better than the big one
I wasn't going to spend money on the large Ridgid radio because it doesn't charge the batteries even though you can plug it in, which I think is dumb. Didn't know about this little one that is conveniently sized and has plenty of volume and and aux input, the necessary features, without being unnecessarily bulky. Have only used it a couple of times at this point, but I've dropped it onto concrete and it is durable and still works. Reception is fine (digital tuning a plus).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Seanofalltrades if only it has presets
I was a little disappointed that this model does not have presets for the radio stations. Yet the Ryobi model for $20 or so less does. Other than that it is a great unit. I run MANY Ridgid 18v tools I got this to consolidate my battery/charger requirements and got rid of the Ryobi model. This unit does help with the battery issue. But it does not have presets nor does it hold the station for more than about 30 sec when changing batteries...if that.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jerry Good radio. I use it in a factory work place were the surroundings is loud.
Good size and its is worth it for price. The things to improve on... lone speaker needs & should be just a little bigger 1 inch more in Dia.. But overall it sounds good. I also think that it's AUX cable is way to short, Also the space it gives you for media device is not wide enough. I would recommend buying the hyper lithium high capacity battery; play time lasts about 14 hrs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nutnbutoyz Does everything I need...
This job site radio is perfect for use around my proberty due to its compact size, and it will play forever on the 18v battery. I didn't want a big boom box, and this little guy holds and plays my iPod securely. I have been very happy with Ridgid products over the years and this one is no different. Home Depot should have these in the stores and not just online.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by skooldog5513 cant turn it down
the only problem I have with this radio is the volume. as soon as you turn on the dial the volume is so high that it can't be enjoyed indoors. definately for the outdoors and not placed next yourself. everything else is great, however per the problem with volume I rarely use it. I own alot of RIGID products including the jobsite radio and would recommend them all minus this radio.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wilmat Great little boom box
It is exactly what i expected. It is still new so I cannot rate it's durability.
I wish they put a capacitor in it to hold a charge and remember station when battery is out. What would be really great if if it had a usb port to charge the phone or ipad off the tool battery, and possibly play a memory stick too.
