Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Chief73 Doesn't Reduce Noise
I bought this help reduce the noise on my Rigid 53L Professional Wet/Dry Vac. Adding this product made no difference in the noise level of the vacuum.
It does, however, muffle the exhaust air coming out of the vacuum so that it doesn't blow dust or dirt around in your work area.
Works great as an air diffuser and is a quality product, as such I am happy with my purchase. But this shouldn't be called a "Noise Reduction Muffler" as it does not reduce the noise level at all and you will likely be disappointed if that's why you bought it.

I have the Rigid WD1450, which is already a quiet model, but bought this to see if it would make it even quieter. In my opinion, it didn't at all. What is a great use for this product is to diffuse all the exhaust that comes out. Without it, the crazy strength of the exhaust blows around everything in it's path. This product was worth keeping for that feature alone.
I gave it only 3 stars because it didn't live up to the noise reduction feature it's based on for me.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by StepStone Ridgid should sell this as a air dispersing unit, and not as something to make their vacuum quieter. It works very well at not blowing the air all around out the other end.. It does not make the vacuum quite, and shouldn't be advertised for that purpose. Works well for what it actually does.. dispersing the air from the blower.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AveJoe Does NOT reduce the noise at all.
It doesn't do what it is made for. And it may even hinder the air flow.
There was no noise reduction in my case with a rigid vac. This product should be taken off the shelf.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by bokie Doesn't create much difference in noise level
If you're expecting to hear a big difference in the sound output of your workshop vacuum you'll be disappointed. I do notice some of the higher pitched noise being reduced when I use it but in general the vacuum is still loud so I wouldn't recommend buying this muffler.

Bought it to hook up to my 1450 Ridgid (which is already the quietest shop vac that I have used) , it definitely blocks out the high frequencies and also diffuses the air exhaust to boot.
