Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dimpala95 Power to spare and easy to adjust
I bought this to replace an older Rockwell router. I love the easy adjustment and quick detachable base. It's very easy to attach to a router table. I wish it came with 2 bases as I would leave one permanently fixed to the router table.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CE64 Can't use template guide bushings
This router doesn't accept standard template guide bushings. Looked for the Ridgid version online and they are nowhere to be found. No adapter available either. No go for me.

Easy to set up, is doing what I need it to do. Not as powerful as I could use, but good price for the product.

This would be an excellent option if you intend to only use it under a router table or any application that does not require or which is made more efficient with a plunge router.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ryland Correcting incorrect reviews.
OK, every one has their own opinion, But, one reviewer states that changing bits while in the base is impossible. Really ? I have no problem at all. Actually easier than the Porter Cable I had before. Did he read the instructions? And the hight adjustment, again, way better than P.C.
Another review stated spare parts (collets) can't be found. So just for the heck of it I looked for 1/4 adapter collets, and had two ordered in ten minutes, to be shipped in two days.
Just saying. I have no affiliation with Ridgid, but this is a great router, and I wish I hadn't wasted my money and time on the Porter Cable which turned out to be an over rated piece of trash.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jrs hard to change bits
I bought the Rigid router to replace my Dewalt 2 1/2 hp router. The bit changing is comber some. It is hard to get it out of the router and takes to much effort to put a new one in. Going from 1/2 inch shank to 1/4 shank is a horrible design. This is a great router if you never have to change bits, but if you do it will try your patience. My advice spend a little more and get a Bocsh.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by djstencil 1 day in.. great router so far
I just purchased this router yesterday to replace a similar ryobi i have attached to the bottom of the ryobi router table HD carries. It bolted right on, no problem, and is literally worlds above that ryobi. It's quieter, smoother, and really easy to adjust when attached to the table. It has a micro adjust lever that is easy to access from the bottom, and once i get a moment, i'll drill a hole in the mounting plate that allows adjustment from the top using a supplied T handle allen wrench. I almost pulled the trigger on a $300 Porter router at rockler for that feature alone. At about $150, id say this is a great router, worth the extra paid compared to ryobi or harbor freight, and great for a table setup. (i rarely use a router outside of that). We'll see how it holds up long term, but with a lifetime warranty, i'd be willing to bet Ridgid banks on this thing lasting.
