Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by redbull88 A few setbacks, but good value overall
I purchased this gun for a fencing job and have shot roughly 1,000 nails through it so far. The first few hundred nails went smoothly, so I picked up the pace and began having problems. The gun dry fired, nails were shot out 2 at a time, nails bent in the chamber, and caught on the little black door. The gun jammed roughly 20 different times. Turns out that the little black access door (I call it the jam clearing door) does not close tight enough so the nail heads can catch on this door and go haywire.
Here's my tip - shoot slowly!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Delphigto Best framing nailer I have used
I had a old one that quit working on me and decided to buy a new ridged. This nailer for its size is light and easy to use. I've always had great luck with ridged.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by USMCRet93 A good tool for the job.
I am in the process of doing a closet remodel. Part of the remodel is putting backer boards between the upright studs in the closet. For this, I needed a framing nail gun. I selected Ridgid as I have had good results with Ridgid tools in the past. I also like Ridgid's lifetime tool warranty. I am NOT an "expert" with this tool. In fact, I had to find a video to show me how to load the nails in it. That being said, once I got the gun loaded and connected to the compressor, it worked like a charm! I shot a couple of test nails in some scrap 2x4, then got to work. The nail gun felt natural in my hand and was easy to use. Some reviews have complained about nails getting jammed. I didn't have a single jam. I highly recommend this nail gun for framing work.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Icemanntx Great framing nailer
This website keeps erasing my review as I type it. The tool is great this website sucks. It is very annoying haVing to type everything 2 or 3 times and have to hit the space bar twice just to do a review.

So far, so good. Yes it is heavy, but it is a framing nailer, never had one that was light. It is sturdy and well put together. It shoots nails very well and I have tried numerous brands and lengths. The nails used were standard universal spaced to fit all guns. I would like to see some cases offered, but there are no manufactures that provide those no matter what brand you purchase. I was a little offended when it quit shooting nails, however I forgot that it will do that as a safety when U are low. All in all, a nice product for what U get .......................

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tombat Jammed every time
I bought this because I like Rigid products and it was new. I used 2-38" Ring Shank round head nails @ 105PSI. It jammed 4 times in 200 nails. The last time it was so bad I could not even get the nails out. It may work better with the larger nails but the slot was too big for these.
When the nails went it it did work well.

So far I love this nail gun. I drives nails completely with less air pressure than my porter cable. So far it cycles very fast and is able to keep up with rapid nailing of sheathing. Nail slide release takes a little more effort. I'm not a contractor but my equipment gets used regularly remodeling homes and around my farm. This gun only has a few hours on it and hasn't taken any serious bounces yet but so far I'm very impressed. Especially for the cost and warranty. Folks and home depot we're great. They even gave me a credit for the Porter Cable I purchased a year earlier and was having issues with almost out of the box.

Nail gun is heavy, difficult in close spaces. Due to nail spacing on clips, takes twice as many refills. Came with a fabric case instead of a hard plastic carry case. Next time will pay more, get more.
