Would this be better to use with a 7 amp angle grinder than a 14/3 cord?

I was thinking that the grinder wouldn't really need that thicker gauge. But I don't know if that's how it works.
Asked by: goofy
DEPENDS....obviously, the longer the distance of tool use from the original Electrical Outlet, the greater the Gauge of any Extension Cord must be. The (25') Length of your Question would make a {14 Ga} be acceptable; BUT, as that Tool-to-Outlet might become ~ ~ 100', THEN, a 12 Ga w/b preferred.

Can I run my 1 hp, 110 volts, 15 amp, no. 8 AWG, 8.4 mm, solid copper 1.5 m (plug and play Hot Tub)

The plug and play Hot Tub I ordered is 1 hp, 110 volts, 15 amps. no. 8 AWG, 8.4mm, solid copper... My problem is the cord is only 48 inches long... I need about another 20 feet to plug it into the outlet... The Hot Tub company doesn't want anyone to use a household extension cord. I need HELP to find out which extension cord would be best. 1. My outlet fuse box says 15 amps >>> like the Hot tub 15 amps. 2. I understand that the lower the Gauge the better for not burning up ! 3. and I should get a cord not much longer than I need because something about a pull. 4. How do you tell if an extension cord is solid copper and/or does it matter ? 5. I don't know what no. 8 AWG or 8.4mm means ? Can someone advice me on the best outdoor extension cord (12 gauge or less, 15 amp, length, etc... Thanks !

To: 'Liz' dated May 01, 2016... To use A-N-Y extension cord whatsoever would be exposing YOU to a great Lawsuit by non-relatives ......or, human injury to one's Family, at the very least!!! There are Very Specific NEMA CODES, as well as Local Individual Municipal Requirements, involving the connection of Electrical Power to a Hot Tub avoid these by using any Extension Cord is a definite 'No-No!' Regardless of any suggestion by that Tub's Seller that it can be considered as "Plug 'n Play" is a Very Bad Recommendation & extremely misleading. eli2
