Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not suitable for Arctic environs The package claims this cord is flexible to -58 F. I bought one to plug in my vehicle headbolt heater. At -2 F it was as stiff as most other cords that local vendors offer as 'good for this application.' I did a little homework and the results are mixed: The packaging (and embossed in the cord itself) indicates that the material is SJEOW rated. My research indicates that this 300V cord should be good to -58 F, though lack of "-A" at the end of that string leaves this in question. I bought this to replace a 25 year old cord with molded plug ends from which the grounding lug broke away. That cord has served me well to temps well down to the minus 40s F (Fairbanks, AK). After I cleaned that cord off, I noted that it was SJEW-A (not oil resistant), so I bought a new plug end and fixed it. I'm heading north for the holidays. If I can find one there, I'll buy it, otherwise, I'll have to resort to buying plain cord/cord caps and building my own. It is possible that my old cord uses finer stranding in the conductors, which would allow greater flexibility at any temperature. I did not cut the Rigid cable apart to find out: I returned it. This Rigid cord is a fine product, but it fails to meet the claim on the packaging. It's definitely suitable for construction work, but in relatively warm environs. It will not meet the -58 F claim.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's Ok I've had problems with it. It's ok for standard operation but I usually tie it into a power tool so the cord doesn't keep disconnecting. After a few times of doing this the plug separated from the cord leaving the wires exposed. I've never had that problem with other brands. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Nice Cords These Ridgid cords are very flexible even in cold weather. The power indicators on the ends are bright and easily seen. I am a contractor and own about a dozen. First class product.
