Customer Questions & Answers

Is a hard-shell case available?

When I have bought Ridgid tools in the past (several nailers, orbital sander, etc.) they have come with hard-shell cases. I was looking at buying this framing nailer to replace one of a different brand and I see that you now provide a "contractor's bag" instead of the hard case. This is disappointing because the cases made it easy to stack tools in my truck for transportation and on the rack for storage while keeping accessories and ancillary tools (allen wrenches and the like) with the tool. I don't imagine a "bag" would stack well (for space saving) and wouldn't provide any protection for the tools while knocking around in the truck between jobsites. My experience with a JobMax multi-tool I recently bought (which came in a soft-side bag) confirms that. I'm willing to pay just a few dollars more to get a hard case when I buy the tool. In lieu of that, is a case available for order as an accessory?

How do I lube my JobMax pneumatic Multi-Tool Head starter kit?

I bought a JobMax pneumatic Multi-Tool Head starter kit. It came with a bottle of lubricant but no instructions on where to apply the lubricant. Please add to your instructions.
Asked by: Muheli
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID! The lubricant is to be added through the air line connecting point, as indicated in the maintenance section in the manual. Regards, RIDGID

Nailer will not use smaller nails

My R350RHE nailer will not accept smaller nails. Nails in question are .113 diameter and 2.5 inches in length. 3.25 inch .131 nails work with no problem.
Asked by: henryac
Hi Henry! We think you must have the nail gun checked by a local service provider. The RIDGID R350RHE model nail gun is designed to accept and use .113’ diameter 2.5” collated framing nails. If you are experiencing a problem using Bostich, Grip-Rite, Porter-Cable, or SENCO brand nails with those dimensions, there is possibly something wrong with the nail gun that needs to be corrected. Thanks, RIDGID

about leak in 3 1/2" Round Head Framing Nailer

3 1/2" Round Head Framing Nailer Quick release swivel leaks a lot. Is there a seal that you can send me and I replace or because of the swivel it just leaks a lot.. I have the Rigid Air Compressor an it runs constantly when I use the nail gun.
Asked by: Bret
There is not a way to actually know what is wrong with this nail gun, without it being physically checked, so there is not particular seal or part that would be recommended to send out to you. You need to get it in to your nearest RIDGID service provider, to be checked and any problem found with it properly corrected under the nail guns warranty. Thanks, RIDGID

Customer Reviews

3-1/2 in. 15 Degree Round Head Framing Nailer and Pneumatic JobMax Multi-Tool Starter Kit is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Smooth Nailer I have been very pleased with this products performance. I used it to do the framing for a guest house I built. Ran many hundreds of nails through it with no problems, no jams, very few nails not driven all the way, etc. My experience with it has been good. I used various lengths of nails, and it fed everything it was supposed to. I will also say that the customer service through the warranty registration interface was very good and attentive... This was a good product, so I bought the brad nailer and air powered oscillating multi tool to roud out the collection. All of which perform well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use of product very easy. R350RHE Round Head Framing is easy to understand and keep working with little lubrication. The refilling is easier then 2 other brands I have owned. The weight was evenly distributed for all day use. A hook on the side makes it easy to hang on your utility belt without snagging other items. The adjustment for depth and strength of each nail is easy to adjust to what kind of wood you are framing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a nice gun. I lost my old senco and had to find a replacement. I looked at a few models and this one was lighter and had a bit of a shorter head to fit in places better. It wasn't the cheapest, but the sells clerk told me about the new forever warranty. I used it and it shoots nice and is easy to get into places at odd angles. The depth adjustment is easy to use as well. The swivel hose hook up is cool, but it was a different stile than I use so I made and adapter. I could have just replaced the nipple, but I wanted to keep the swivel. I also bought it because it has the word Fuego on it and that is just a fun word to say. Fuego.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Have had this product for 5 years now and even though I am a weekend warrior I do use this product a lot. It has not failed and if it was paired with a bigger compressor it would be even faster. I have the framing nailer and the 16 gauge nailer and both are excellent quality and durability. Thank you for making a great product
