Answer:
Voltage should never be going out of the male type plug - that would be very dangerous.
Twist lock adapters are configured such that the blade diameters, and bends on the ground pin are unique to the voltage and amperage.
i.e. You would not be able to plug a 110V adapter into a 220V twist lock outlet without first modifying the adapter or having an outlet that is improperly wired/rated in the first

Answer:
I think the twistlock is a 30AMP style 120 (110) volt input device. I do not think that this twistlock is for 240 (220) volt applications. So IMHO, you will not be putting 220 volts in. If the generator were putting out 240 volt from an outlet, I would expect that outlet to have 4 prongs, not 3 (hot left, hot right, neutral, & ground). Frankly I don't know if there is a twistlock system for 240 (220) Read More

Answer:
There are several 3-prong twist type plugs (For example: there are 2 different blade patterns for 15A, 125V; 1 for 15A, 250V; 1 for 15A, 277V). You will not be able to plug in any twist style cord or adapter if the amperage and voltage do not match.
To match the shore line connector, you will have to look at the outlet and note the amperage and voltage listed (it should be molded into the plastic). You Read More

To match the shore line connector, you will have to look at the outlet and note the amperage and voltage listed (it should be molded into the plastic). You will also want to make sure it is a water tight connection, if connecting directly to the shore line, as there are water tight and non-water rated connection housings and the one at the marina will be water tight/rated to be compliant with the NEC and other local codes. You will most likely have to go to a boat or RV store/dealer to ensure they have the correct cord type in stock.
It would also be a good idea to ask the harbor master if you are not close to the outlet. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works fine I bought two of these as adapters for a temporary power box. They both work just fine. I like the LED's letting you know the power is on, and seems to be made of quality enough material for daily jobsite use. If you need one, you'll know it. July 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by does what it is supposed to do As I use generators on a regular basis, many of which have a three prong outlet, this adapter has become a great addition. I get more amps out of the Generator by using the three prong outlet, as well as the Edison outlets. June 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very well made product. Product is very well made. Product stands up to a lot of construction abuse. October 30, 2012
