The key prong faces out, not in, as it does on every generator I've ever seen. Lots of torn up packaging on the shelf because appearantly everyone returns this useless cord!

Has the Ridgid name or the cord (sign of quality) however does not fit Ridgid Generators nor is there anything in the description to tell you what to get.

I have a 20 amp generator and I am too cheap to buy a transfer switch to power all my essential stuff. I run my well with the 20 amp plug and run my 2 heaters, 2 refrigerators and a couple of lights, and a freezer off the rest. A perfect solution for us cheapskates!
Great quality at for less than the pice that it would take for me to build it!

Using the 20amp generator and this cable works great. Connector is fine for the 20amp. Not sure what Jenny is saying. Cable says it was made for 20amp and that's what it does. Heavy duty and the outlets glow in the dark, which is a nice feature helping to see where each connection is at a glance

This is only rated at 20 amps, so the 4 prong twist lock plug is slightly different from the 30 amp 4 prong twist lock ( L14-30R) plug on the generators sold at Home Depot. Why they sell a cord that can not plug into the Generators they sell is beyond me, but there you have it.
