Answer:
It will cut iron, but the blade tips are standard carbide. They will dull with hard use. Lube sticks are scarce so you may burn up your blade with tough iron cutting. In my opinion the blade will burn up before the saw gives out.

Yes it will cut corrugated iron. When cutting corrugated iron or any type of sheet metal you do not want to cut straight in from the edge as this can cause binding but hold the saw up and plunge down into the metal there is an illustration in the box that shows this and it does make a difference. Also I recommend clamping the metal down to prevent it from slipping and sliding especially if cutting several sheets. Remember this saw does not have a guide plate so it does take a little knack to get a straight cut especially when ripping. Also make sure to support the iron so it does not bind the blades because like other saws if the blades bind it can kickback or ruin the blades. This saw does not usually kickback like a traditional circular saw but it can. Hope this info helps. . Read Less

Answer:
Ye it will I cut my welding table which has 1/4 inch steel not on purpose but without a guide it is hard to cut a perfectly straight line. It will cut corregated iron I would worry about all the openings and fear the carbide blade tips would snap or come off destroying the blades and cause lots of chips to fly around.

Be sure to wear long sleeves and a full face shield when cutting. Hot shards fly all over when cutting especially with the dual blade saw.

It came with starter blades that so far are holding up to whatever I have used it on. I was worried about the price also (only $10 more than the weekend warrior tool store) but pleasantly surprised by the quality and performance. I have other Ridged power tools and have had great service from all of them so I was willing to take a chance on this tool. It also has a great warranty.

Yes. blades install like all other saws. The saw is fabulous to cut sheet metal roofing. I think HD is closing out this saw. None are available in any stores. It is a screaming value. Nothing cheap about this saw. Buy it while it is available. It is twice as well made as others I have seen. I purchased a second saw after using mine for a week. You won't regret this (purchase) unless you don't make it...

It comes with a set of blades so you can use it. After the first set becomes dull, you will need to purchase another set, unless you know of some way to sharpen the originals (if that's even possible).

Yes they do turn in opposing directions. That is the key feature with this saw that eliminates "bucking" or "kickback" when cutting in a line that's not straight. Also, you can push the twin blade forward when cutting or pull it toward you, whatever you prefer.

I sure hope home depot keeps selling this i better go buy a few for my buis just in case. In no way shape or form did home depot make me say this either this is my personal opinion as a veteran technician, this is the best one on the market, however its a metal saw not a wood saw

After 15 minutes I was getting two kerf lines with a thin, very sharp sliver of metal that looked liked it passed between the two blades. Tried a new set of blades. Same issue. Now it's back in the box headed to Home Depot. I bought this saw as a alternative to buying a used Dualsaw650 from Ebay. I should have taken the chance on Ebay. Not near the saw as the 650. Maybe ok if all you want to cut is very light sheet metal. The Dualsaw can cut through 2x2x1/4 steel angle without kickback or a dual kerf. Don't waste your money or time on this saw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All Purpose I have now used this saw for two major projects and it has excelled at both. The first was the removal of a whirlpool bathtub, that I had to cut free then cut in half to remove from the bathroom. It cut through the fiberglass with ease and made quick work of it. The second was the adjustment of some kitchen cabinets that needed a new toe kick. Again, quick work. The only downside to this saw is the lack of a shoe or mechanism to ensure you are square to the blade. I found it is easy for the blade to cut out of vertical alignment if I don't hold it perfectly. But, since this seems to really be designed for demolition, it serves it's purpose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Know what you are buying This saw is not a circular saw replacement. It is for cutting material which a traditional circular cannot handle. I found it to be great at cutting sheet metal and laminate. The lack of a base makes it difficult to cut a straight line and control your depth. I highly recommend wearing safety gear when cutting metal it really throws metal chips! The unit is also too bulky which makes cutting in tight areas or up against objects next to impossible. It is well built and I don’t need to talk about the warranty. I do have a big problem with the saw being moved out of the stores to online only and have you tried to pick up a blade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good saw at a good price I had a friend that purchased one of "those" other saws seen on television and this one performs much better at a fraction of the price. One thing I wasn't aware of is that this particular saw is not meant for detail type cutting, as it doesn't have the mechanics to square the blade to the surface. It's great for demolition work. It comes with some lube sticks for cutting metal which I haven't had a chance to use yet. I would highly recommend using a spray on DRY lubricant between the blades every time. I tried with and without and it performs much faster and MUCH quieter with the dry lube. The total width of the cut is the standard 1/8". Each blade is 1/16th".

It cut through metal fast and straight. I use it for more things now, but it does not replace other saws for specific applications. It is a great add on saw that does a lot. Great product.
