I am pleased with the capabilities of this sander. It does a great job keeping dust to a minimum but requires you empty the dust bag frequently if you don't attach a vacuum to it.

Great sander. My Father-in-law has the 6 inch version of this sander and I have borrowed it so many times I may as well have owned it. I finally decided to go out and purchase my own. I went with the 5 inch version because of price and a wider variety of 5 inc discs that were available. It is a great sander and I have already used it a number of times on different projects. The size and weight are nice, it is not so large as to be cumbersome in single handed operations, and it can get into a few more spots than the 6 inch could. Definitely would recommend this sander.

This sander worked like a charm for the first 80-ish hours of work. I was manually sanding all of the railing on my deck and it was perfect to get the job done. The motor held up just fine, it did a great job at collecting the majority of dust, and the plug/switches worked every time. Eventually, the velcro disc on the sander became worn down and the abrasive discs would no longer stick to it. With some minimal searching online I found some cheap replacement parts and they are super simple to swap out. Since I was using this tool for several hours 4-5 times a week, I wasn't too surprised it wore out. If you are looking to use this for simple, smaller projects then you shouldn't have any issues with it.

This is the second-smoothest running sander I've ever used next to my Festool, which cost me $200. I can't speak to the longevity as I just purchased it but it blows my old PC out of the water. I've read some negative comments about the power switch and vacuum hose hitting the work surface. Honestly, one shouldn't use a 2 1/2" vacuum hose in the first place. Too much vacuum actually makes the sander fight you. The smaller hoses clear the work surface easily, and I've never had a single problem with the power switch. So far it has been a great sander for me.

I've used name brand orbital sanders and am happy they have found a new home after using this sander. Although the switch may be a little awkward to turn on and off, this sander did everything I want in a sander. The soft start motor gives you sufficient time to get your grip on the sander and go to work. The dust collection bag with the sander is about as good as it gets without going to a hose and vac. Very little dust was remaining after changing through 100, 150 and 220 grits of paper. If I was operating a business requiring orbital sanders, this would be the sander everyone would be using.

This is a great sander. I had to use it to remove the nightmare Behr Deckover from 240 square feet of rooftop deck. It attached to a wet dry vac, so most of the mess goes into the Stinger! The bag is useless...always use the wet dry vac. It never got overheated during the 79 hours it took to do the job. Highly recommend it!

Love it. Works very well and with it hooked up to my Shop-Vac, no dust storm mess. Even the Rigid bag system works better than other more expensive sanders I used in the past.
