Answer:
Thank you for contacting Cerro with your product inquiry. It is not recommended to connect two cords together. The middle connection increases the chance for water or debris to get into the connection causing a fire hazard. Let us know if you need any other questions answered.

Thank you for your inquiry in our 50 ft. 12/3 SJTW Extension Cord with Lighted Plug. The rating for this cord is adequate. Running a window air conditioner on an extension cord for an extended period of time is not recommended. Extension cords are temporary use devices hence the name “service cord”. Local codes may prohibit the use of an extension as a mean to power devices for an extended period of time inside a building. Due to the nature of an extension cord temporary power purpose, there is also a risk a cord end may become separated from its mate. You will also need to make sure that any excess cord is laid out flat and not coiled up. This can melt the jacket and may create a fire hazard if left unattended. Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Heavy Cord, slight issue Have a couple of these cords, only issue when the housing comes apart , see in picture, housing slides out of plug March 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy Duty I used this 12/3 to run a outdoor hot tub. All is well. I'm waiting to see how it works when the temps drop into the 20's and teens. I bought it thinking it will be fine. I like that the ends light up. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great extension cord for 15A power tools. I've had this extension cord for some five years and it is of excellent quality. I especially like the power-on light at the end, which is very helpful. My only regret is that I didn't buy the 100 foot version. September 30, 2015
