What type of quick connect adapter do the hose connections require? There are automotive and industrial types. Or something else?

Asked by: HeyJP
there are several different styles of air couplers c type is the most common it usually has the style on the female side of the coupler, they are not interchangeable the difference is in the length of the stem on the male side of the coupler, when you say 1/4 inch male npt threads all that tells me is the thread type that screws onto the hose. the style type is on the other end of the coupler.

Can it use for impact gun?

Can it use for impact gun?
Asked by: TK
It can be used if doing a small job like removing a tire from your car but not in a tire shop. The compressor would run to much to try to keep up with the gun. this is designed for a nail gun or airing your tireor small jobs. you need a tank with more capacity to use an impact gun.

There is a paragraph in the instructions that say to run the air compressor with the drain valve open and no pressure in the tank for 30 minutes before the first use. The first one that I received ran for less than 15 minutes before smoking out. I was not sure if it was a fluke or not. So, I returned it to the store and exchanged it for another. This one started right up, so I ran it for about 45 - 60 minutes. I had absolutely no issues with the replacement. I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife and myself. We will definitely get more use out of it next summer. I really liked that it had a better/longer warranty than any of the other comparable compressors. If there are any issues I will update this review.

This has the same capacity and PSI, and many of the same features. It even sounds identical. The Porter Cable developed a leak at the screw drain. The constant leaking made the compressor run more than it should and it overheated. The single biggest reason I got this unit over another Porter Cable is because this has a 90-degree ball-valve drain on the tank. Every screw-type drain I've had on compressors eventually leaked. On my big compressor I was able to get a replacement drain valve that was a 90-degree ball-valve and never had a problem again. Other than the drain, the hose connectors feel a little better and I find it a little easier to carry. FYI, it it fairly loud for it's size. You should use hearing protection.

I like the compressor, works well, has a bigger storage tank than most pancake compressor, an is light enough for almost anyone to easily carry around. The tank fills fairly quick and holds it pressure for quit a long time without losing any pressure. The compressor was packaged securely in its box and was easy to unpack and repack. My biggest decision in this purchase was what hose I was going to buy. Down sides, it's a bit noisy, but not as bad as some, and the regulator valve which is used to decrease, or increase, the maximum pressure, is not that easy to regulate with out a bit of playing. My wife loves the fact that it looks like a little robot, with the regulator valve as the nose and the two gauges as eyes, and looked great when it was dressed up like an elf. As for recommending this compressor, yes I would. Of course I have not used the compressor much, but as I do, if there is something to add, good or bad, I will add to this Product Review.

My 8 year Porter Cable pancake starting leaking air and isn't worth fixing. This one has better hose connection fittings and the drain valve is a lot easier to open so maybe I will actually use it and the compressor will last longer. Fairly easy to carry around and about the same loudness as my Porter Cable which is fairly loud. I used it with a roofing nailer today. It ran fine and didn't have any problems keeping up, it fact it wasn't even breathing hard. You can't go wrong for 100 bucks if you want a fairly lightweight compressor for small to medium duty usage. I would recommend it over the PC.

After running it for 30 minutes (break-in period), I decided to return it, and bought a similar DeWalt unit at Home Depot, which is MUCH quieter, and appears to be higher in quality, and is made in the USA (double bonus). If you don't mind the noise, then go ahead and buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice compresser Picked this up after the Porter cable I've had for 20 years is giving out. To replace with the same one is too expensive, that coupled with the manifold issues I decided to try this. I like the fact this has two quick couplings included, and the manifold is not right out in the open like my old one was. It broke off twice because it was not protected. This actually runs just a bit quieter than my other. Pumps up fast, and more pressure than my last one is a big plus. Break in went well with no over heating, so far I'm impressed! Try it out! I haven't used any impact wrenches with it yet. But I think it may work OK for powering them. Time will tell.

I bought this compressor for eveything from air nailers to hobby airbushes. In store display says not for hobby painting, but I think that is a disclaimer for some reason. Works excellent with small airbrushes. It fills fast and is a little noisy, but the noise wouldn't give me pause to buying this unit. plus a 3 year warranty and a good brand name..... Can't go wrong.
