It seems to be out of stock again. Is there anyway to order it directly from ridgid? I really like that price....84 bucks for decent hammer drill with a lifetime service agreement.

No, the RIDGID R5013 is not discontinued, and is currently sold through Home Depot. RIDGID does not offer any type of direct sales, so the customer will need to contact Home Depot in regards to availability related questions.

This is a question that the retail distributor Hone Depot would need to answer for you. The R5013 should be in their distribution system, in their DC’s.

Good for drilling through cinder block wall?

I need to make 1 x 10" hole, and 1 x 8" hole in an exterior mason block wall. Don't want to spend $400 to rent the core bits and core drill for this job, so would this tool do a good job to drill around the perimeter of such holes, with a 1/2" concrete bit for example?

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 39 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't last long. Register your warranty! Used this drill very little(less than 4 hours) before it stopped working and needed an expensive electrical component replaced; over half the original price of the drill.. Unfortunately I didn't register for the lifetime service agreement so buying a different drill with new warranty seems more cost effective than repairing this one. December 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So Glad I Ordered This Drill This drill has a nice rugged feel and operates smoothly. I really like the fact that it has metal gears, it should hold up well. I use it for drilling 3/4" holes through studs for running wire and it is fast. I've also used it to drill 1/4" holes for tap-cons into concrete and it worked great. I have just one complaint, while it is nice, the bag is barely big enough for the drill to fit into it and actually zip it up. July 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by For the money it was a good purchase Lightweight and very easy to use. My wife loves it. June 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great drill - does the trick This drill make quick work of drilling holes into my concrete foundation and cinder block wall. I used with Blue Granite Turbo Carbide Hammer Drill Bits with this drill. Made the job quick and easy. It was a tad bit on the heavier and loud side, but overall great value. June 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceeded all expectations. This past weekend, I had the need to drill 4 holes in concrete. Not just any concrete and not just any hole. I have an Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) home with 8" concrete sandwiched between 2.5" Styrofoam. The holes are 1" in diameter, to fit exterior frost free faucets. I used a Bosch Blue Granite 1" x 12" bit, and honestly I don't know how it could have worked any better. If you think about the hole, that's s LOT of concrete to remove. The drill NEVER stalled or hesitated and it performed perfectly. Heavy chuck, long lighted plug cord. The swivel handle allows you to move the handle to the most comfortable location. I would buy **this** drill in a heart beat. May 14, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ridgit Hammer Drill Been trying to use this drill for the past week to drill 5/16" holes in my foundation and it's been absolute nightmare with this drill. I initially thought that there was something wrong with it so I exchanged it. This drill takes forever to drill one 3" deep hole. I use very expensive German made drill bit so it is not the limitation. Do not use this drill if you have more than one hole to drill as it will drive you insane when you spent five minutes on a single hole. This is very strange as the cordless Ridgit drills are very good. The only thing this drill will hammer is your patience. Avoid at all costs. April 6, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good drill but not hammer drill Drill has a good price comparatively and nice features. The construction is durable and holds up nicely with minimal care. Runs great for drilling thru wood, used dozens of times to drill many 1/2 inch holes for deck construction, saved my cordless drills from an early grave. But, I bought this drill specifically because it was a hammer drill and needed to drill concrete for setting anchors. This drill didn't make it to hru one box of 1/4 inch tap cons and a hand full of 1/2 inch bolts (this was not in one day either it took place over a year).. So if you need a good 1/2 inch drill it's a good choice but if a hammer drill is what you need find something else. I'm sending mine in for repair, I'll report on how that goes in the meantime looking for a new hammer drill. September 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use get the job done! I bought this drill to make holes around a pool to cover it at the end of the season and with this tool was very easy thanks to the light weigh and powerfull. There were like 16 holes the problem was that it was a sunny day and the drill was heated too making it unusable but thanks to LSA, ridgid repaired free of charge and have not had any problems with this drill enymore November 24, 2014
