What is the purpose of the adaptor? Are there female threads in the adaptor that are not mentioned or shown that are other than 5/8-11? If my grinder has a 5/8" 11 tpi spindle, is the adaptor necessary?

Will these do light sanding / grinding on a thin concrete topping? I have resurfaced an exterior screened-in porch using Quikrete Concrete Resurfacer, where the final coat is about 1/16" thick. I gave it a "light" broom finish, but it is not as "light" as I had hoped. I initially ground down the 30 year old steel troweled concrete with a 7" angle grinder and diamond cup wheel to prep it for this resurfacing, which worked fairly well, but am afraid that same method will be too aggresive, too hard to control and will lead to gouging on this relatively thin and relatively softer surface. Just want to remove some of the material making it less rough, but still not have a slick, slippery surface because it will frequently be wet.

could this be used to strip paint off of and level surface of T-111 plywood ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best posible product for that specific job I had to strip some epoxy enamel off my garage floor that one of my tenants used on it. I looked in to diamond blades but you have to be very careful not to scourge the concrete, so had to try something else; then looked into using some bid blaster and that was out of the question since the machine costs friend $ 30,000.00 so again that was not cool I asked a friend of mine and he recommended this product. once we learned how to use it, it took us about 2 hrs 2 guys to do the whole floor. we could even use one hand on the grinder and go side to side! ( NOT recommended), as long as we kept on changing the wheels the paint came off so easily 2 packs( 6 wheels) was well worth it and now the used wheels I can use on wooden fascia boards and rough lumber
