Thank you for your interest in RIDGID.
If by stainless steel/glass” backsplash, you mean the mosaic tiles, then the recommended blade is the 7” RIDGID glass blade: http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-7-in-Glass-Tile-Blade-HD-GT70P/203408571?keyword=hd-gt70p

Yes, it will cut red bricks but the cutting life would be short. We recommend the turbo blade for this application. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-7-in-Turbo-Diamond-Blade-HD-TB70CP/202882332?keyword=hd-tb70cp

Hi Trip, yes that blade will cut glass, however you will get a better finish if you use a glass cutting blade. Check out the link below.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This blade is exceptionally unexceptional Bought this blade to replace the Dewalt XP I had used in my wet saw on my last two projects, and each of those projects required a lot of cutting porcelain tile. From the very first cut with the Ridgid, I knew I had made a bad decision. After making three cuts of 12" each on porcelain tile, there were numerous knicks and small chips along the cut line. Immediately replaced it with the used Dewalt, and the next cut I made was smooth and knick-free. Had to take my time, as the blade is worn, but it still did a superior job to the Ridgid blade. Taking the Ridgid back tomorrow and going to spend a little more and get another Dewalt XP. January 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the one to buy Having purchased a cheaper comparable product and finding its performance woefully inadequate, I went back to the store and bought this blade. I have cut LOTS of tile, this blade outperforms others with a very narrow kerf, and cuts even hard tile like porcelain easily on my wet saw. It costs more though, but I feel it is worth it based on how well it performs, as well as its durability. September 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Performing Blade This blade was used on my wet saw to cut 10mm porcelain tile. It went through the material competently while providing a fairly smooth cut. Interestingly, the cut was smoother on the tile to the right of the blade than to the left. (may be a function of the saw rather than the blade) Cuts made at the end of the 120s.f. job were of equal quality to those made at the beginning. July 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good, but not worth the price This blade is thinner than others and so the cut wouldn't clear the blade guard stand. Had to use without and got wet. It does cut faster than most with less chipping, but does not eliminate it. A decent blade, but there are others just as good for less $. July 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best tile saw blade ever I know it is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. This blade is twice what cheaper ones cost, but it cuts better, faster, smoother, and last 3-4 times longer. I think you get the point. I keep buying them and have been very pleased with them. Try one you'll be happy you did. April 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by hi quality This is about the best tile & stone blade ive used in this price range. (However the prices have come down considerably on diamond tile blades in the 22 years that i have been a licensed contractor) April 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great great value i do a lot of cuts with porcelain tile it has held up well March 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good blade . The blade works as advertised .After the blade is used to cut several tiles it will cut a cleaner line or cut . This especially true for ceramic wall tile . February 19, 2015
