Thank you for your interest in RIDGID.
Depends on how thick is the glass. If up to ¼” thick, this blade should work.

7in blade will fit the saw, but blade might not cut through the material under normal operation. You would have to put something underneath the tile to raise it by at least ½” to make up for the depth. We wouldn’t recommend it.

Answer:
I suppose as long as the arbor is same size, all you will lose is a bit of thickness capacity. It will be be able to cut 1/2" less than 8", so if your material is not super thick, I do not see a problem. The other way around, an 8" blade on 7" saw would hit the guard. But check the specs on the arbor size of your saw and this blade. Good luck

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for glass bottles Used on my tile saw for glass bottle lampshades. Left super smooth cuts with very little chipping. January 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Limited use Purchased this blade to cut glass tile for a shower installation. The blade gut well at first, but quickly became more difficult the more tile that was cut. It seemed to loose its edge about half way through the job and required a very slow cut to achieve the completion of the job. This blade is a one and done project blade. It may last linger if you are only cutting a few accent tiles, but for a lot of glass tile, I would not recommend. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Blade for Mosaic Glass Tiles I bought this blade to cut glass mosaic tile for my backsplash. The blade cut through the glass like butter with no chipping whatsoever. The top edges looked almost as good as the factory edge of the tile. Considering this tile will be up for probably 15 to 20 years, I think 30 dollars is a small price to pay for a cut this good. I do not have much experience with cutting glass tile, but it seemed to cut at a fairly good rate. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by did exactly as advertised cut glass tile-thin wall tile strips- with no splinters or shattering January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works perfectly! Not sure of all the bad reviews coming from the other brand about the Rigid blade. It works as advertised. My inexpensive "wet" tile saw I bought back in 2006 when I tiled my kitchen has the same original blade on it. I brought it out of storage to do my bathroom project a couple days ago and it works great on my Ceramic Tiles, but noticed it chipped a little on the glass cuts. I bought this Rigid Glass Blade and it cuts perfectly. I've already cut about 12 12" glass tiles in half and it still cuts the same as the first cut. A little expensive for a blade but worth it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wet Saw replacement Blade Easy to put onto my wet saw...worked great! Highly recommend and the price was great! July 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 7 In Glass Tile Blade Blade worked very well, easy to install. Only Con is high price (not necessarily avoidable). June 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You have to have this item if.... My son and I just finished installing smoked glass Subway tiles in his kitchen for a backsplash. When he told me he wanted glass, not ceramic, I cringed because I had heard it is hard to install, expensive and very difficult to cut. Well, all 3 things are true. It looks beautiful now that it is installed but cutting glass requires a higher quality and finer diamond blade. They are pricier and I think after we finished, the blade appears worn out. Hope I never have to try and find out. Glass has to be cut very slowly and the tiniest bit of movement will crack an expensive piece. It is slow going. With patience, this blade does the job, and you have to feel your way around the technique. When I went back to a standard diamond blade for the porcelain floor tiles, it was like cutting balsa wood in comparison. Again, I am so glad it is done, and we could not have done it without this special blade. So, you have to have it if you want to cut glass. May 25, 2015
