I read some of the reviews before I made my purchase saw some bad and some good. But comparing the price to several rental days I made the purchase. Set up was easy. It seemed like there was a little run out in the blade. I checked the arbor with an indicator and it was fine. It did not effect the performance. The saw was used to cut 4x8 ceramic tiles. A few did chip out at end of cut so I would then first take a minor cut into the breakout side and then flip the tile over and make the full cut. No more chipped out tiles. The only thing I was unhappy about is the table top being aluminum. On some of my tiles if I had them finish side down the aluminum would transfer a black mark onto the tile. Just a little more work cleaning them off. One bathroom is done and now off to the next one. Also the saw throws plenty of water so Make sure the place where you are working is protected>

I have never owned or used a wet saw before. I am tiling my bathroom and chosen porcelain wood look tiles. I was amazed at how easily and quickly this saw cut. No nicks, no blowouts, no tape...this saw cut from either side like a hot knife through butter.
I am installing a semi-circular shower and thought I would have to use flexible molding to hide what I thought I could cut for the curved portion. Below is a picture of the tiles I cut using the wet saw only. once the tiles are set in place and grouted in I won't need flex molding. :-) Right now they are placed just to get the curve cut. (Cardboard template was used) The guard had to elevated to see what I was doing. the water spray obscures any markings when it it set low. It has to be set high enough to see what is going on and low enough to prevent getting sprayed in the face.)
I couldn't be more pleased and cannot understand why some have had such problems when a complete novice such as myself can have such success.
I have zero complaints and nothing but praise for this unit. I really love it.

Ridgid 7" Job Site Wet Saw! Yes please. Great tile saw for the home. The title sort of implies that you would actually take this saw out on jobs with you. This is by no means a tile saw that you would use daily on the job, but its an awesome saw to keep around the house for those flooring projects. I purchased the saw for a small project that I was doing at the parents house. I wanted to take their fireplace from drab to fab lol. Well maybe not fabulous be much better than what it was. Am I glad I purchased this saw instead of another cheaper brand that I was looking at.
The saw performed very well. I do recommend you purchase a better quality blade when you buy the saw though, because the blade that comes with it wont last long. I used the saw to cut mosaic tile and some porcelain and it performed fantastic. This little wet saw made fairly quick work of the job. No chipped edges on the tile and I was able to make cuts fairly quickly with out the saw bogging down. Some may be tempted to remove the blade guard, but I would advise against it, as the blade guard not only keeps your fingers away from the blade but it keeps water from shooting upwards. If you remove the guard you will find that you will soon be soaking wet. The beveled aluminum deck is just fantastic. The small chips from cutting tiles falls into the grooves keeping them off the main cutting surface for the most part. The grooves also funnel some of the water back down into the hold. Clean up is easy as well. Just unplug the saw. Pull the plug for the water and give it a quick rinse with the water hose. The small size is nice because its easily stored away until your next project. Best of all its a Ridgid saw and that means you get an awesome hassle free warranty.
The only thing that I didnt like was when the saw is on the vibration of the motor turning the blade causes the saw to move. So I took a few pieces of 2x4 that I had laying around and made a little stand to mount the saw to. Each foot has a bolt hole in it which makes for easy mounting. Quite a simple feature of the saw, but a great feature. That solved the problem of the saw moving during cuts and it also brought the saw up to a less back breaking height

The saw was easy to assemble. Blade was easy to install. Did a few test cuts to get the feel and then it worked beautifully.

I purchased this to do quick small jobs. Knowing Ridgid quality I was thinking this was at that same level. The blade wobbles a good 1/16 of an inch with no way to true it. The guide is only good for getting things started for measurements. Once you have the measurement you want remove the guide and eyeball the rest. With the wobbling blade you will be guaranteed chipped tiles, hopefully its on the piece that's being tossed. Its a good looking saw that's the only star that it has going for it. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU WANT PROFESSIONAL RESULTS, hey there is always HF.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brittolly Great saw, bad fence
This saw works fantastic. Plan on two things...1) change out the blade it comes with and 2) the fence isn't the greatest but it's fairly square. the angle attachment won't slide on the fence and it won't hold your tile steady enough for my likings. I found it better for me to cut everything freehand. But this is one tile cutting son of a gun for the money. I've done two decent sized jobs with it with no complaints other than what i previously mentioned.

I had a cheaper ZEP model and upgraded to this saw. It's well built and easy to use. I did notice that the guide arm was about 2 degrees off when I clamped it down so I gently bent it to align better. Some of the metal parts are pot metal so be careful with them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by John Excellent home wet tile saw
Well built, sturdy table, great for home use. I used it to edge a patio and repair several damaged tiles. A two day rental would have cost the same as the purchase and now I own my own. Saw blade is a little thin but for my work it was fine. If you keep the guard low the water spray is minimal. The table is rugged and provides a sturdy base for cutting. If you have a job that requires at least two days of cutting or repair work I would recommend this saw over rental. Motor never bogged down.
