9 gal. Wet/Dry Vac is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product, needs a crevice tool included Only gripe I have, they should have included a tool that will let you vacuum out your car. That's what I bought this for. The one they provide is to big for that. I had to go buy one for $10.00. What a rip off. The vacuum itself is good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rigid 9-gallon wet-dry vac I bought this as a replacement for a home-depot wet-dry vac (it was a home-depot model but it has no brand name) purchased several years ago. The day after I bought it I needed to clean up about 15 gallons of water spilled on the kitchen floor. I haven't tried it on dry materials as yet. Using it for water suction is poor, primarily because the tool provided with the unit that fits on the end of the suction hose is very, very poorly designed. The supplied tool has an indented opening on each end that allows air to be sucked in with the water. There is no possible way for the device to pick up all the water on the floor because no seal can be formed between the device and floor. The device supplied with the old unit does not suffer from that problem. As might be suspected, the hose on the old unit is not the same size as the hose on the new unit and the pickup tool on the old unit isn't compatible with the hose on the new unit. Different size hoses, different size pickup tools. So you can't use the tool or the hose from a different unit on this Rigid machine. The top of the Rigid unit (where the motor and exhaust port live) connects to the cannister that contains the water or other material that is sucked up. Unfortunately there is a very poor seal between those two surfaces, thus allowing air to infiltrate the cannister and reducing the amount of suction power. My old unit had 3 snap-shut locks and a rubber seal between the top housing and the container; new unit has 2 Cheezy plastic tabs that when bent, permit removal of the motor housing from the cannister. There is nothing to help seal the top housing to the cannister so as to avoid reduction of suction power or to stop the infiltration of air into the cannister. IDespite my complaints I will probably keep it but only use it around the workshop to pickup dry trash. Presuming, that is, that it works a heck of a lot better on dry stuff that it does with water. If you don't mind blowing $20 on a dry vac for picking up sawdust, go ahead and buy it. But if you need to pick up water this unit will not make you happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great vac I bought this vac to clean up the mess from my house renovating. All in all I've been quite pleased with it. It has great suction and is able to pick up most things. I wish it came with more attachments. The only con is that the hose attachments keep coming off the main hose. By the way, the shipping time on this item was unbelievable! Home Depot really moves to get their items to the customer. 5 Stars to H.D. !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rigid wet dry vac - 9 gallon I paid $29 for this great little wet dry vac because I came home from a vacation and my a/c's auto shut off activated because of condensate water inside the air handler. I brought this home, read the directions, went outside, and plugged it in, then suctioned out the condensate from the drain. I used duct tape to seal between the hose and the pvc drain pipe, turned it on and let it run for 1 or 2 mins. Voila! All the green gunk and water that was in the drain is now gone! A/C service call = $85 or more. Wet Dry Vac was $29. I will put this on my calendar to add bleach to the system, followed by 1 or 2 cups of water, then suction the drain line every 3 months to prevent A/C condensate drain problems, since I have to have A/C at all times in HOT Florida.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vacuum or blower? While the vacuum will pick up sawdust, small pieces, etc., it doesn't have the HP to pick up larger items, this is certainly not what is needed for anything other than minor cleanup, but for $20, that didn't seem unreasonable. Just be certain when installing the top to direct the exhaust the opposite direction as the vacuum hose, otherwise what you are trying to vacuum will end up blown across the room....there is enough exhaust airflow to dry your hair quickly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My very own shop vac! Ok, there are times when I just cannot carry all of my husbands tools and they are too heavy or cumbersome. Well, we have recently purchased this perosnal shop vac for myself. I ever so enjoy completing my household projects and doing cleanup projects on my own, All I have to do is pull this very lightweight unit to any room in our house. It is especially great for cleaning out kids rooms and cleaning out the sofas in our house. I have bought extra attachments and extensions. This is a great product for anyone wanting to tackle your own clean up projects, easy to use and great for the kids to use too. My youngest son really loves cleaning under his bed without getting unde it. He just uses the extra long attachments and the cleanup is done.I recomment this lightweight product for anyone! I am planning on purchasing one for a gift too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great vac for home use! Super bargain under $20! Great price for normal home use. Better suction than attachments on most household carpet or canister vacs. Low profile for easy towing around inside the house. I will use primarily for dusting and sucking up water after moping the kitchen and bathroom floors. No problems with sawdust and other garage debris, but 1.75 hose is too small for large wood chips in a workshop. Higher performance filters such as HEPA available if you don't mind spending more for a filter than for the vac. The price is better than a Rigid replacement hose alone. Somewhat noisy, kind of a like a wind whistle. Won't accept 2.5" hose and attachments. Comes only with hose, wands, and general purpose nozzle. Dusting brush, wet squeegee, floor brush, and crevice tool are each extra. Too small for daily contractor use, but they usually can justify more money for the very best tools of their trade.
