Answer:
No it isn't, but it however IS made from a rigid plastic casing! It is a pretty good case for the money, but I would recommend that if you haven't already, to do some looking around with different brands. Hitachi, Bosch, Craftsman, they all have a decent storage case, but as long as you TRY to take care of them, you WILL get a good amount of usage out of them!

I answered this in one word on my phone.
Ridgid's LSA applies to tools and to any battery that is purchased with a tool, meaning a kit. You can't get the LSA on the battery just because you purchase it at the same time as a tool, take for example the ever elusive 18V blower.
Drill bits, among many others things, are considered expendable. I wish my disposable razor came with an LSA.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impact drill bits Had same set for years and it never failed me. Misplaced it so I got another one. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap quality Drilled a pilot hole through a thin sheet of metal and the tip broke right off. I love my Ridgid tools but I would not recommend this set. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Christmas gift This was a gift for Christmas! So far so good! It comes with a large variety of pieces and the quality is excellent December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Pretty Good Impact Set for the money... A pretty good set regarding the impact bits, but I would have to say that RIDGID could put together a WIDER variety of impact drill bits... February 20, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by First Ridgid bits I have bought. And probably the last. Doesn't seem to be impact Rated. First used the phillips which dont break they just slowly start twisting and so the corners of the bits are angled after just a few screws into a door jam. As the angle gets worse obviously slippin and strippin of screws gets worse. (Yes I countersunk them first too). Even worse with the square drives, going into backerboard. The drill bits seem to be fine, too early to really say since I haven't used them much though. Nice case I guess. September 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by How's That Impact Driver Working for You? When I finally discovered the joys of using an impact, I have not used my drills for anything but drilling holes. I like to keep several sets of these on hand. Not that they wear out or break regularly, it just that having several bits increases the chance of being able to lay hands on the one I need. May 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice drill / driver set This set is designed to withstand impact drivers and that is a great feature. I sometimes drill with my impact driver and have twisted bits into in the past. So far I haven't broke any of these bits. They are sharp and drill holes in wood quickly with little force required. The driving bits are made well and don't slip. The quick change bit holder makes drilling and driving fast and easy. You won't go wrong with this set. January 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This bit set was at a great price and has worked great! I used these to place 1/2 plywood in attic. I screwed in about 300 screws. The bits worked great. They never slipped or damaged the heads. I have had several types of bits that would slip or break. I would recommend these to everyone. March 4, 2014
