I am wondering when the Ridgid compressor hub w-1 nailer will be back in stock?

Asked by: Anonymous
This air compressor isn't even shown on the ridgid website anymore. With its markdown and this question asked 6 months ago and still out of stock, its safe to assume that this compressor isn't being manufactured anymore and Home Depot won't get it back in stock.

What is the hp of the compressor.

Asked by: Anonymous
We do not rate or quote HP. The standard formula used in the past for determining HP by most manufacturers was: volts X amps divided by 746. The 746 = 1 Watt. Thank you RIDGID Support

Customer Reviews

Compressor HUB w-1 Nailer-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Very happy to get this tool. I am a carpenter by trade, use my tools daily. The Lifetime Warranty is a huge plus! (drivers , bumpers, O-rings) Nice carry case, safety glasses, nails and wrench included. The safety spring is light enough to eliminate any marking on soft wood. Other 18 ga nailers I have had left a mark on the wood at every nail, just shallow enough that it couldn't be filled. It's not a problem with this tool ! I haven't seen another gun that will shoot 2 1/8 in 18 ga nails either. The nail magazine is made of plastic, not sure if it would withstand a drop from a 10ft step ladder, but who drops their guns right? The Price is great. Ridgid is making a believer out of me. I am switching over to their tool line every time one of other brand tools wears out, simply because of their great warranty. I had a defective lithium battery on a drill, they replaced it free of charge and delivered it ( no shipping charge) to my doorstep.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A great tool if it worked I love Ridgid tools. I love this design. I have a twin stack that is heavy and hard to lug around so I bought the air hub. I love the wheels, the handle, the tool box and the crank hose wheel. I even like the nailer with the swivel coupling. All great. What isn't great is the motor. I had to return mine after it continually would lock up and trip on each second air fill. If the tank was empty it would work most of the time but wasn't able to pull enough power to run the compressor on a recharge. My Ridgid twin stack works fine on the same outlets so it's not a power availability issue. I've talked to others with the same problem so I feel it's a design problem in the motor or gearing. FIX IT RIDGID AND I'LL BUY ANOTHER!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mobile Compressor I have owned this unit for 3 years, using it to finish my basement and run a variety of air tools. For the money it is a great tool and has no problems keeping up with demand. I replaced the hose because I wanted more length, but there was nothing wrong with the one included, other than it was too short for the length of my basement. It is very portable - light enough to put in the truck bed. The storage case holds plenty - it fits all of my various attachments and nails. Can't relate to other reviews where there have been problems with refills - my unit does a good job with that. Does not run constantly, even when using large nail gun. I would recommend this device to anyone who is looking for a reliable compressor for general purpose applications.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent, but there are better out there for equal money. I'm a professional carpenter (12 years). I used this nailer 5-6 days a week, all day, for ~4 months. First, the good stuff. The ergonomics are quite good. Comfortable in the hand, well balanced, wield it all day without fatigue. The features are plentiful well thought out and easy to use. The clear magazine cover, swivelling belt hook, exhaust location, good tip design for high vis and accuracy, included swivel fitting, oil-less; all really good stuff and well executed. The lock out is also a great feature, but failed in the execution. It's annoying not being able to shoot the last 5 nails, and makes reloading cumbersome with the extra nails remaining in the magazine. I really wanted to like this nailer, but it falls short for me, in the action, there's a lack of refinement about it. It sounds and feels clumsy, as if it slaps the nail in rather than pressing the nail in. The violence of the piston is transferred to the user and to the work piece. You don't want to use this nailer on delicate pieces such as thin or smaller MDF mouldings. It can fracture and chip your work pieces. Decent, but there are better out there for equal money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product. Excellent Brad nailer, very easy to use and lightweight. As a mechanical contractor I don't have alot of experience with carpentry tools but I'm very pleased with this tool. Has never jammed or any other problems. Seems to be a quality tool at a good price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What Gives? I saw this unit come out last summer & really wanted one. When Home Depot threw up the display I was the first in line this year to purchase the HUB....didn't know that I would go through 3 of them in a month. The compressor won't recharge the tank after the initial charge....use the air out of the tank and the compressor kicks on for a second or two, sounds like it's struggling to run & kicks the reset button. To get it going again you have to manually bleed ALL the air out of the tank. Hey Ridgid, I'm not the only one with this problem...FIX IT!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good brad nailer I have used this brad nailer over the last several years. I have not had too many complaints... and would actually go to say that the only issues i have had with this product is by user error but i am a guy so i will not actually go that far. it is nice that it gives you wide range of brads you can use. the depth function is easy to use. and it also has the ability to be used in the bump fire mode or single shot.
