Will this tool turn metal nuts?

Can I use this tool to reach up and turn the metal nut (shown in picture I took) to turn the metal nut holding my bathroom sink faucet in place?

Pasco 7000 is the new nutbuster for zinc and brass nuts. Great tool, but only for the destruction of brass and zinc nuts.

Can't remove the 2"D X 2"D center basin hex nut/coulpler

I am having the MOST difficult time removing the center basin nut to replace my kitchen faucet. I have zero remove to maneuver due to existing disposal and only 5.5" from the back of sink to back of cabinet.(see pictures) The HD plumbing salesman said this product wouldn't work, but all I needed was a basin wrench. I got one, but it didn't work at all. The nut was too large for the basin wrench whether I take the disposal out or not. Will this tool work, or can you suggest a specific tool I can use. I am trying to avoid calling a costly plumber. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I see your problem It's too bad things are put in with no remorse on there exit. That is a large basin nut with no room that I have seen myself. Just use a different basin wrench there are bigger ones for sale I purchased a large basin wrench at Grainger's. If all fails a good channel lock will help but probably help but mare the nut. Spray the nut with wd-40 the night before. I am a retired plumber good luck...

This is billed as an installer tool and I was trying to remove my bathroom faucet so I can't be too critical. I can see where it could be a useful tool in many situations, but it would not grip the large plastic lock nut under the bathroom faucet. It was configured so as to fit the 1-3/4" lock nut just fine, but continually slipped off when torqued. I returned it to Home Depot with no problem (thanks, HD!) and bought the Husky 2 inch Universal Faucet Nut Wrench, which did the trick in one minute. I would recommend this Ridgid tool for installations (not removals) because of its versatility.

I only have good use of one arm, and this tool helped me install new lavatory faucet much easier than the "old " way using a basin wrench and/or wrenches which almost never fit in the space behind the sink. Job is bad enough just getting in the space under the sink in the vanity (or kitchen cabinet). This tool makes it much easier for anyone to do the job. My son helped me with another job recently and when I saw him use his to replace the bathtub drain, I knew I'd have to have one for myself. Highly recommend for anyone, with the basic skills to replace a faucet.

But on a sink it does not handle the flexibility of the hose. While it does turn it does not allow for sufficient torque to properly seat the connection.

None of the multipurpose tools fit the old faucet or new faucet hose lines and was not useful for disconnecting or installing the faucet mounting. The one thing I used it for was to tighten the soap dispenser nut, I would not purchase it for this purpose. One of it's functions is to reach back to the valve handles, It does make this job easier so I decided I would keep it to cycle my valves once every three months. 3 stars because I plan to use it on my valves.

It may be satisfactory for a kitchen sink faucet, but it was totally useless for a bathroom faucet installation. The tight quarters (drain line, pop up lever) made getting any kind of a good grip impossible. Working with metal supply lines is problematic. The basin tab nut removal feature didn't work- it kept slipping off the tabs. I can't rate this tool's other features because I didn't use them. I think it may be best used when replacing a sink- the faucet and supply lines could be installed before placing the sink, so you could get a better grip on this tool and have sufficient room. If your trying to replace an existing faucet, I recommend the Husky Universal Faucet Nut Wrench- it did the job exactly as advertised.

This was exactly what I needed for the plastic lock nuts that hold the faucet to the sink from underneath. I tried pliers, drilling, and took over an hour with sore fingertips trying to get them to even budge. With this tool it was dang near effortless... my only regret was not starting out with it. It is built to last and will come in handy a lot. It seems to be very versatile although i haven't needed it for any other fittings yet. It was worth it just for the stuck lock nuts.

RIDGID Faucet and Sink Installer Tool - I believe this tool is a wonderful tool if, if,if it fits your kitchen faucet removal and installation fixtures. The straight line way it works and the grip it offers is ideal. It would be better if it came with varying size attachments or an adjustable one that allowed fits to other sizes. Consequently, I'm giving this tool a 3 star rating because it was a waste of money for me but not completely worthless. It does fit the new faucet but not the old one allowing me to remove it. I will retain it in case RIGID listens to users about providing other sizes for the tool or in case it fits my bathroom faucet installer needs. Or future kitchen faucet. It really is a good idea, just incomplete in concept. If you are seeking a kitchen faucet installer, I'd suggest avoiding this for now unless you know for 100% certainty it fits.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from New installs only Wrench is good for installing new faucets but it is not strong enough to remove old, seized up nuts. The plastic housing flexes and twists when you apply any real force to it, I had to stop and use an old basin wrench. I would not recommend for anything other than new installs, it does work well for this application.
