CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 54 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT ADDITION VERY COMPACT YET LOTS OF POWER. FEATURES GALORE AND A GOOD PRICE TOO. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH FRAMING SAWS. AND THE RIGID WARRANTY MAKES IT EVEN BETTER. November 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid little saw I spotted this on sale and since my CT mastercraft circular saw has a bent base I decided to give it a try. It's a cheaper one with a stamped steel base. I learned from that that I didn't want another saw with that type of base. So far I'm really impressed with the Fuego. That's what Ridgid calls it, no kidding. It's compact but quite heavy. To me heavy translates to good quality. It feels good in the hands and cuts very precisely. I showed it to a friend who's done plenty of carpentry work and he was really impressed. He commented on the heaving housing and the overall quality. It also has a thick heavy duty magnesium base. I won't be bending that anytime soon and that means my cuts will remain bang on. There are a ton of thoughtful little touches on it as well. For example, if you're cutting at a 45 degree angle there is a mark that shows where to line up the cut. Another one; the hex key for changing the blade stows securely and out of the way on the base. Yet another one is the plywood gauging system. The various thicknesses of plywood are marked on the housing so you can drop the blade very precisely and they are positively engaged with a click. It's too bad more products don't have this level of engineering built into them. If I had to complain about something it would be that the included blade is only a 20 tooth. But then again, it is a small "framing" saw so I wouldn't remove a star for that. Oh and if you're the type that are really angered when a piece of equipment comes with a short cord this little guy will put a smile on your face. It's got a solid 10 feet of cord. Very nice Ridgid! It shows you care more about the customer than squeezing out the last dime. Maybe Makita could take a page from your book. I just bought the drill/torque driver combo and those clowns couldn't be bothered to include a bit socket and a couple of bits. REALLY MAKITA?!?! REALLY?! It's going back...but I digress. 5 out of 5 for the Ridgid and would recommend it to the DIYer. I'll leave professional carpenters to do the pro review. ;) December 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product! Excellent saw. Light, fast and easy to use. The blade guard flips up easily for straight, angled or beveled cuts allowing you to hold onto the piece of wood you are cutting with your left hand, not flipping up the guard. It is nice using a saw like this all day long instead of some of the heavier ones available. For the price, this is an unbelievable saw. I highly recommend it to the hobbist or the contractor. Awesome product! January 6, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The saw that made my day! This saw is fantastic and should be the first saw for every one. I'm 47 and have been working in renovation for a long time. Since I got this saw every time I cut a board I have a smile on my face and my tennis elbow agrees with me. Why use a big saw when this one does the job. I'm here today because I'm thinking of buying a second one, just in case this one brakes and I would have to go back to my old 7 1/4 Porter cable. October 10, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw Small but mighty. Light saw making for fast and accurate cuts. Worked great on the first of my many to-do list projects. Great value for the money and a lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either. February 27, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good little saw It's a smaller blade for framing as what it's used for but it cuts quick and clean. It's has the power and strength to satisfy me hopefully everyone else. I used this unit with the Kreg rip cut and after fine tuning it to the jig which were not compatible it but accurately all the way done staying true. April 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for a smaller person I'm a 5'3" female renovating my kitchen myself. My friend's old, heavy 7 1/4" saw was uncomfortable for me to handle and control, not to mention incredibly noisy. I was concerned that I would ruin the $40 cabinet cover panels I had to cut. I bought this saw, ordered a 90-tooth blade from a large online retailer, and made perfect cuts the first time. For someone like me who is a DIYer without a lot of experience, this saw is PERFECT! It's solidly built, easy to handle and guide, cuts like butter, and the noise is minimal compared to larger/older saws. I felt very confident using it. I also like that it's corded, so there's no extra battery to buy and remember to charge. I would recommend this saw to anyone. The only downside I can think of is that Home Depot doesn't carry many 6 1/2" blades (this is a framing saw after all, so they carry blades for that), so if you need something specific like I did, you'll have to order it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Powerful, Well Balanced and Light Weight! I've used several top-of-the-line 7 1\4" Sidewinder Circular saws over the past 35 years. Most have performed well for framing, sheet goods and general woodworking. However, their biggest flaw...they were all HEAVY (>12 lbs). Getting into awkward cutting situations (most every cut) or for extended uses (most all the time), quickly became fatiguing, creating inaccuracy in my cut lines or worse, a safety issue! After finally getting tired of being tired (sounds familiar), I researched an Equal, but Lighter Solution in the circular saw market today. Along came the Rigid Fuego, a 6.5" saw with all of the bigger 7.25" main features...Power, Accuracy, Durable Construction, Ease of Adjustments and Useful Depth-of-Cut. In addition, this Rigid Fuego offers faster cutting speeds, the quietest operation of Any saw I've ever used, a light but extremely durable composite base, easy to see front and rear cut lines, a built in motor air flow direction that keeps the cut line in front of the blade clear, great ergonomic feel\control, a more compact size\footprint...All at a very reasonable price! I've cut up about 25 4 x 8 plywood sheets and over 1000 2by board feet...this saw is a Real Pleasure to use!! When you consider all of its feature sets, especially at 3 lbs Less then most 7 1\4" saws, the Rigid Fuego is as good as they come!! February 12, 2012
