This little saw is so powerful! Huge capabilities in a small package. Have used several of the larger ones for years but this is my "go to" favorite. Up in attics and on roofs this saw is light and nimble. Makes my work faster and does an incredible amount for it's size.

I didn't know what to expect from a one-handed recip saw. I was impressed with the quality feel and heft. It came with a all purpose blade but I loaded it up with a 6" metal demolition blade and sawed my bike in half. The one-hand design allowed me to steady the bike with one hand and cut with the other. Try that with a bigger saw--it can't be done! It cut through that thing like hot knife through butter...what-what! Now I don't have to repeat that miserable 1 week biking vacation (it'll be fun!) ride with my wife next year. Thank you Rigid for making a quality saw and ending the pain of future bike rides.

I was hesitant to buy the one handed model over the full size saw fearing it would lack the power I needed in a saw.after reading the reviews I decided to try it out & see for myself. While waiting for it to be shipped I borrowed my brothers full size (yellow competitor) to demo an old shed,& take down some bushes.Didn't get halfway through & had already killed two batteries, while recharging the Rigid Fuego arrived UPS so I put it to the test.It ran through that shed & the bushes like Sherman through Atlanta & still had a charge on the first battery!I love this thing!

Bought a Ridgid tool kit and this saw was part of the kit. The first time I used it, I was shortening conduit runs to install a new A/C units on seventeen Portable Classrooms. Working in the ceiling with all the existing A/C duct work, electrical and insulation, it was pretty tight. This saw was perfect for this job, I could get right up in the ceiling undo the conduit straps after pulling the wire back and cut the conduit to it's new length without removing it first. It saved me at least 8 - 10 hours on the job. On that job alone this saw paid for the whole tool kit. That was five years ago and the saw, as well, as the rest of the tools are still going strong.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Scott Very Surprised at how powerful this tool is
I recently purchased the RIDGID Fuego One Handed Recip (Tool Only) to use on some smaller projects around the house. On this day I had to remove and replace an attic fan and needed to make the hole larger. Remembering my brand new Fuego Recip saw, I figured I've put it through is paces. While I realize that it's not a full size saw, it really did a very good job with lots of power.
The only down size is that the saw has a stroke length of 1/2 inch which can be an issue. I realize that this is a striped down tool with no battery, I think that a carrying case should be provided or at the very least available to purchase. I know of very few people that don't like to keep their saw and blades together in some sort of case or tool box. I was thinking of giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the stroke length but, the tool had so much power I felt that it was worth the extra star.
I hope to see more additions to the x4 line of Rigid tools.

I bought this about 6 months ago to help me cut my out of control bamboo problem. This is a great tool for this type of cutting. I use a fine tooth, metal cutting blade and it cuts through the bamboo easily. The 1.5 amp battery only takes about 20 minutes to recharge. I also use a pruning blade for cutting branches & small trees. Highly recommend!

I originally purchased this saw because when trimming fronds off of date palms and mexican fan palms I wanted to use a power saw to speed things up, but I could not disinfect a chainsaw to my satisfaction. With the reciprocating saw, I could simply change the blade between trees with a clean blade. The blades could also be cleaned as good or better than a hand saw. This saw console was also cheaper than buying a long extension cord for a 15 amp sawzall and since I already had the batteries from a Ridgid drill I figured I would give it a try. I equipped it with a pruning blade and it trims all of the trees with ease. The battery life is plenty long enough for doing normal trimming jobs of branches, fronds, etc. The main drawback to this saw is it is a little back heavy with the motor and battery both at the end. This is not a serious drawback since the saw has plenty of utility.
For the heck of it I even cut an entire hardwood tree that had a foot thick trunk down into logs. With such thick wood the batteries ran out kindof fast and the saw was of course not as fast as a chainsaw but it's not like this saw was designed for that job anyway. Just the fact that this little saw was able to tackle that job was amazing in itself.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cswatx goodbye Craftsman, hello Ridgid!
This recip saw works great. It is compact, lightweight, powerful, has a long run-time, innovative "keyless-chuck", and a LIFETIME WARRANTY! Great for tree pruning! I picked up three separate Ridgid cordless tools: Compact 1/2 drill/driver, one hand recip saw and the x4 circular saw and sold my craftsman C3 cordless tools on craigslist last week. The ridged lithium ion batteries provide amazing power and run times on all three cordless products I bought. A++
